A few days ago an ex-hiring manager gave me a call, offering a partnership to set-up a new recruitment agency in Jakarta. The confidence came from years of (internal) placement experience. "We know the game, come on, with just a drop of a name here and there, our venture will thrive." I then listened to the whole idea about how things will be done and responded, "Let's not waste our resources because that old machine is and should be made obsolete." I believe players in the recruitment industry should reinvent their way in doing the business. The workforce that we are dealing with have transformed as well as the clients.
