Shortly after accepting a great opportunity at Apex IT I started getting sick. Really sick. The last 3 months has been filled with endless tests, multiple hospitalizations, and many trips to the ER. It all culminated with a long hospital stay, a 6 hour life saving surgery followed by a bumpy recovery (including another hospitalization). The anxiety of being a single parent, supporting multiple households, unprotected by FMLA, was overwhelming. Through it all, Apex IT leadership was incredibly supportive and understanding. I can’t count the number of times I got, “Don’t worry about work. Just focus on your health” comments. Kudos and an enormous THANK YOU to the Apex IT leaders who’ve forged a culture of compassion. And shout out to my incredible colleagues who picked up the slack to keep our client project running seamlessly. I’m back in action now, filled with added motivation to make the Oracle HCM practice at Apex the greatest out there.
Glad to see you are feeling better now.
Oh my God! Hope you recover super fast. Good that the leadership is taking care.
