So this is pretty exciting for me - I just got to do something combining my passions for small business M&A & sustainability via SwagCycle.
In 2021, Grossman Marketing Group acquired a fantastic business in Stamford, Connecticut, PCI Creative Group, run by sisters Anne Chiapetta and Mary Ferrara. They and their team have continued to thrive over the past 3 years, and we have learned a lot from them.
During a recent inventory cleanup, they came across some like new notebooks, pens, and other office items branded with the PCI logo. This is one of the reasons we started SwagCycle - to find homes for high-quality merch that had become obsolete because of corporate M&A. Not only can this create positive social outcomes, but it also keeps items out of landfills.
These items were sitting in Connecticut, so we matched the items with our friends at CASTLE, Inc. (Colchester Alternative School Age Total Learning Experience), a nonprofit, 501(c)3, nationally recognized and accredited child care center that has been serving children and families in Colchester, CT and surrounding towns since 1991. CASTLE programs are available for children in preschool through 8th grade and include before and after school care, pre-kindergarten and school readiness. CASTLE supports working families and provides continuity of care for children through year-round programming during school holidays/closings, vacations and summers.
It's great to see these products live on to benefit the community!
