The BEST place for the Black perspective on last night’s presidential debate was the Black Star Network. No other network was even close! The level of expertise was OFF THE CHAIN. Go to https://lnkd.in/e9GVUnz4 or the BSN app to watch the broadcast. Did we #BringTheFunk? Hell to the yea!!!! #BlackOwnedMediaMatters

When you say off the chain, I get interested. This has to do with what's a minority. I hear Hitler slipping the leash. I hear Mussolini making the trains run on time. When Hitler slipped the leash, he did become a minority, and he ripped through the majority, including the meritocracy of the Prussian command.
To be clear, I didn't even know there was a presidential debate last night.

Dear Black people,
Because we won't build together we still remain like lap dogs to theose people and media companies that dont look like us. Almost all black filmakers still have a master/slave relationship with these people that has created serious mental illness for our people. We could make much more money than we get from white media and distributors but we just cant get away from them. There is still a subconscious dependency. They create the inequality that has most of us living in a bad financial condition and this is entirely by design.
They know that we wont organize and they use that to their advantage. They know most of us will accept their money for the films we make....because they know and depend on the fact that we wont organize. If we did we could make 10x the money.

The decolonization of the healthcare system is imperative in reversing the traditional mindsets and practices of current clinicians and practitioners. Blacks have the lowest life expectancy rate among all ethnic groups in this nation, and it's due to institutional, structural, and white supremacy racism. Frankfurt School of Thought historians tend to disregard the evidence of the numerous African Holocausts that began in the 15th century and continue to this day.
Blacks have never received any group compensation for the crime of genocide and slavery imposed upon them by the people and government of the United States. As in the case of the Japanese, Jews received not only material compensation for their losses, but their victimization was also publicly memorialized in Germany, Israel, and the United States (even though there was no legitimate claim of oppression or genocide that Jewish survivors of the Holocaust might assert against the United States). The only "memorial" dedicated to the suffering of Black slaves and the survivors of slavery in the United States is contained in a series of legislative enactments passed after the Civil War. The history of Black Reconstruction shows how these enactments were successively persuasively by the courts and by Congress itself.

Last week, the power of love drove dynamite engagement growth with Music & Audio (+51%) and American Football (2.6x) content as popular power couple Taylor and Travis – AKA TNT – blew up the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs may have stolen the game in added time, but TNT stole our hearts.

Following a conversation with my wife last night about the significance of Black History Month, she introduced me to a Netflix documentary called "13th," which begins with a startling statistic delivered by former President Barack Obama: despite comprising only 5% of the global population, the United States accounts for 25% of the world's prisoners. This statistic sets the tone for the entire film, which provides evidence-based explanations for this alarming rate of incarceration.
"13th" sheds light on the pervasive issue of racism in our society, revealing how it persists despite apparent progress. It illuminates examples of racism functioning as a profitable business, such as funding quotas in private prisons, and exposes the role of organizations like the American Legislative Exchange Council in influencing legislation that perpetuates systemic inequality.
This conversation and the insights from "13th" have spurred me to reflect on my own actions and commitments to combatting racial injustice. It's evident that there is much more work to be done, and I am dedicated to being part of the solution. Furthermore, beyond recognizing the systemic issues highlighted in "13th," it's imperative to stress the importance of education and action in reversing these injustices. Education serves as a potent tool for raising awareness and understanding the complexities of systemic racism. By educating ourselves and others, we can challenge misconceptions, dismantle stereotypes, and advocate for meaningful change. However, education alone is insufficient. It must be coupled with deliberate action, including actively supporting initiatives and policies that promote equity and justice, speaking out against discrimination and inequality, and participating in efforts to reform systems that perpetuate racial disparities. If you've not seen this documentary, I encourage you to take the time, it's a must see.
