Today marks the start of National Road Safety Week. It's an important date to remind us of the needless tragedies taking place on Australian roads. Every year more than 1200 people are killed on our roads and more than 44,000 seriously injured. That's tens of thousands of families whose lives are changed forever in a split second. The annual initiative, delivered by the Safer Australian Roads and Highways (SARAH) group aims to highlight the impact of road trauma and how to reduce it. At Shine, we deal with the after-effects of road trauma every day, advocating for justice for our clients and their families whose lives have often been significantly affected. Today we pause to remember the 1200 and implore everyone to take care on our roads. Together we can make driving safer and reduce the tragic toll, so let's Drive So Others Survive. Probably this is the most POWERFUL and IMPACTFUL Road Safety awareness video I have ever seen! The only acceptable number in road accident fatality is ZERO!!! Human health is paramount to all else. It acknowledges that, as people, we all make mistakes. However, when mistakes happen on our roads they can cost us our lives or cause serious injury. That's because our bodies aren't made to absorb the forces of high impact speeds. We are fragile, and there's only so much physical force we can withstand and this is why we need to build a safer road system. Improving the safety of our roads, our speeds, our vehicles and our people will improve safety for everyone. Together, we can build a safer road system and help change road safety for the better. #safety #roadsafety #zerotolerance #ZERO #TransportAccidentCommission #TAC Transport Accident Commission (TAC) https://lnkd.in/ga9b9xUe

Coming Soon: National Road Safety Week 2024 (May 5-12) Next week, Allroad Group is proud to support National Road Safety Week. Each year, road accidents in Australia claim approximately 1,200 lives and cause serious injuries to over 40,000 people. These statistics are a call to action for each of us—every number represents a person whose life is deeply intertwined with others. We stand with the Safer Australian Roads and Highways (SARAH) Group and various road safety organizations and government bodies to highlight the impacts of road trauma and explore ways to reduce it. From May 5-12, and every day, we encourage everyone to Drive So Others Survive! Your decisions on the road can save lives. Let's pledge to make our roads safer and prevent these avoidable tragedies. #NationalRoadSafetyWeek #DriveSoOthersSurvive #AllroadGroup #RoadSafety #SARAHGroup
