At ARO Drilling Our deep motivation is rooted in addressing environmental and socio-economic challenges linked to our operations and contributing to a low carbon economy. This year's theme, "𝗘𝗰𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻" underscores the urgency of protecting our oceans and marine life from the harmful effects and practices.   As responsible global citizens, we must advocate for cleaner, greener energy solutions and sustainable alternatives and push for spreading the word to safeguard our oceans.   By taking action and commit to our three core priorities in sustainability; Protecting Our Planet, Caring for people and Governance & Transparency, we can work towards a healthier, more sustainable future for our planet and all its inhabitants. #EcoRestoration #GenerationRestoration #Sustainability

It serves to raise awareness of environmental issues such as high emissions from industry and transportation, greenhouse gas emissions and the increase in waste. As a company, we have a huge responsibility and therefore attach great importance to minimizing our ecological footprint. We implement measures such as reducing our energy consumption, increasing the use of renewable energy sources, optimizing our supply chains and implementing efficient recycling programs to actively contribute to protecting the environment.

Our work doesn’t stop and continues beyond #EarthDay! 🌎 We understand that the way we deliver our mission matters significantly, and we’re committed to doing our part to reduce our environmental footprint in response to the climate crisis. Here's how: 💪 - Transitioning more than 80% of our facilities to renewable energy sources. - Reducing our fossil fuel consumption by replacing gas-powered vehicles with hybrid and electric models. - Using more sustainable, eco-friendly supplies, like compostable meal containers and cutlery, after disasters. - Cutting our waste by more than 30% and increasing our recycling rate.

Why do we focus our work in the global south? 🌎 Our CEO Joel Tasche sat down with the wonderful Chloe Tuck at Earthfest and discussed just that. Many coastal communities in the global south are part of the 2 billion people around the world who don’t have proper waste management. Basically, they have no one to pick up their trash. And when trash isn’t collected, it finds its way into the environment - whether it’s been dumped in a river or piled on a landfill. 👎🏼 We want to change that.
