The Student Mentality: A common trait amongst successful people is that they are always studying others' successes, looking for clues they leave behind, and emulating them. They learn from both their failures & victories and are constantly figuring out how to improve upon them. Katherine K. has this Student Mentality. She's been in the business for only 1.5 years and is consistently leading the charge on KPI’s within our company. Not only does he have a grit & work ethic that goes unparalleled, but he is also an extraordinary human being. Promotions are a big deal. Promotions during a Pandemic is even more impressive. I would like to recognize Amy Trgovac for her incredible work and achievement during these "non-ideal" times. Like many of us, she started from the bottom, started from scratch, commuted over an hour each day to get to work and she persevered. We face so many obstacles in this industry, lots of rejection and "no thank you's". This business is not for the faint of heart. I'm super proud to announce that Amy Trgovac has swatted all of those obstacles to the side (yes, some tears were shed too) and hit our high benchmarks to become our newest Sr. Executive Recruiter. Covid-19 has affected millions of people in all sorts of ways. On the job front, folks have lost jobs, been furloughed, taken pay cuts, and are in unstable situations. I've been blessed to have been with the same company for 16+ years, but going through these turbulent times does beg the question: How would I look for my next opportunity if I were suddenly laid off? What steps would I take? Would I post my resume on a Job Board? Maybe.... Would I apply to Jobs Posted on a Job Board? Probably... Would I reach out to my Network of friends, family, ex-colleagues? Definitely! Referrals are the best way to land your next opportunity. But what if I was in love with certain companies and I had no contacts there?
