Written for the American Association for Public Broadband by Bill Coleman and published by the Benton Institute for Broadband & Society, the handbook offers community leaders concrete steps to tackle the various logistical, technical, financial, and political challenges of building a network. By informing collective impact, leveraging scholarly networks for technical assistance, and working with community partners such as Rochester Area Community Foundation, ACT Rochester is able to connect people and research for action. This action moves us toward the creation of a more vital Rochester region. Through our approach, ACT’s team is able to help you define questions and problems, identify data to address these questions, and connect you to others who are asking the same kinds of questions…and who may understand or have established solutions. #STUdio DESIGN BUILD A functioning justice system that upholds the rule of law is considered a critical feature of peacebuilding, state-building and post-conflict recovery efforts. However the concept of ‘justice’ must also encompass notions that go far beyond the rule of law. If peace is to hold, or if conflicts are to be avoided in the first place, as much as we need to construct justice institutions that focus on quality service delivery, we also need to engage on the much more significant agenda of building just and fair societies.

The Million Voters Project and Power California, grantee partners of Irvine’s #JustProsperity initiative, have just released “Narrative Power: Accelerating Narrative Change from the Ground Up,” the largest field study developed to assess the narrative power-building infrastructure!  The report surveys the narrative infrastructure of 58 community-based power-building organizations and convenes focus groups from over 30 local, statewide, and national narrative change experts.
