Through innovative interventions, we are helping them in rewriting the narratives of their lives, instilling a sense of agency and self-worth. Tools like PHQ-9 and GAD-7 help us measure our impact, ensuring that our efforts lead to tangible and meaningful changes in their lives.Each session is a mosaic of heartfelt stories, transformative experiences, and a fostering of deep connections amidst themselves. We provide a safe space for these women to find solace, and discover their inner strength. It's of the utmost importance to understand the challenges people face after leaving prison and dealing with Post-Incarceration Syndrome (PICS). Success stories give hope, but we also need to discuss the difficulties many people encounter after release, like psychological distress, social reintegration, behavior patterns, and cognitive impairment. Talking about these challenges is important for a few reasons: Raise awareness... Request more support... Reduce judgment... Advocate for rule changes... Encourage research... Once again, while success stories provide hope, it's equally vital to acknowledge and support those struggling. This approach helps create a system that cares for and understands individuals transitioning from prison back to society. Childhood trauma is correlated with recidivism. Many factors contribute to childhood trauma, including abuse and poverty. Mental health issues are not addressed while incarcerated, leading to the same problems and traumas upon release. Substance abuse becomes a coping mechanism for covering up these traumas. Lack of mental health programs in correctional institutions contributes to high recidivism rates. It's crucial to fight for more mental health programs and therapists inside prisons to reduce recidivism rates. Addressing these issues and creating treatment plans is key in finding solutions. #ChildhoodTrauma #Recidivism #MentalHealth
