I’ve started watching the “Heart of Invictus” on Netflix. It’s interesting and refers to different people and their experiences of injury…and as they prepare for the games…whether physical, psychological or with pain and there’s build up to the war of Ukraine. I’ve just watched the 2nd episode. As I watch it, it reminds me of the Counselling foundations that I studied last semester in Psychology at Magill Campus, UniSA. And I think, okay, so which of the concepts would I apply in that situation….and haven’t thought much past that yet…but the real life situations are great for theoretical application! I can see cases for psychoanalysis, Existential therapy, Behaviour therapy, and Person centred therapy….
Experience a Heart of Invictus yourself! Come and join us at the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023, from 9 - 16 September and witness the incredible journey of the competitors from Netflix. Get your ticket now 📲 https://lnkd.in/gFT_43q

Netflix has games? YES. Up until recently, the focus has been on mobile games with a UX that is somewhat wonky in pushing users from the main streaming UX to download other mobile game apps to play. Now, the company is moving to higher end games that can be played on PCs or TVs with your phone as the controller. 🔥 Netflix mobile games have been downloaded 70.5M times globally (remember, engagement numbers count) and are free to play. The strategy is to keep viewers happy with games in between seasons of shows. Also, adding this value helps to justify increasing monthly fees. Just as a reminder, the time spent with games is continuously increasing with younger generations, so it absolutely makes sense that Netflix continues to dig in here. 🎮 #gaming #netflix

Netflix games currently face a significant user experience issue. Users are unable to download games directly from the Netflix application, but download them from the Playstore/AppStore. Once downloaded, the games are stored in the device's internal storage, rather than within the Netflix application. This problem often leads to confusion, and many users are unaware that a Netflix subscription is required to play the games. As a result, the low ratings given by users for Netflix games are a major concern. So my team at Rakamin Academy consist of Poetra Lumaksono, Reza M, Boy Trimandez make a idea to solve the problem, we made feature that user can download and play games within Netflix Application. 💡 It's still far from perfect but we are open to any feedback! #productmanagement #rakaminacademy #netflix #ideation

Helldivers 2 initially sold over 12 million copies in its first three months. However, the game has since experienced a significant decline in player count due to questionable decisions by #Sony and #ArrowheadGameStudios. According to Steamdb, the player count has dropped drastically to 29,380 from an all-time peak of 458,709 just three months ago. The recent #PlayStation Network (PSN) controversy, where Sony restricted the game in 180 countries, has led to declining community support and contributed to the game's downturn. Despite quickly reversing its plans, Sony's handling of this issue has further distanced players. The lack of new content, such as the underwhelming Polar Patriots Warbond and a limited leveling system of up to 150, has left players with little motivation. #PS5 #Playstation5 #PSN #Helldivers #Helldivers2

I want to share a recent experience with a #Netflix game "Reigns" on my TV (which is currently in Beta). Not expecting a lot from it, I scanned the code I saw on the screen to use my phone as a gaming controller. From a #gamingdesign standpoint, it involved simple right/left swipes on my phone—influencing the storyline with each choice. The narrative is laced with surprises and humor that kept me quite engaged. Now, being the #instructionaldesigner, my mind naturally drifted to what's happening behind the scenes. Every decision I made had a ripple effect on the #scoring elements at the top of the screen. It's not just about picking options randomly—you've got to make choices that align with the game's goals to keep your "game life" intact. I experimented with different approaches—sticking to a consistent set of values didn't quite do the trick, and random choices were a dead end (no surprise there!). The way to proceed is to pay attention to those scoring metrics and make decisions that help you progress. As the game unfolded, more cards got thrown into the mix, expanding the entire "game universe" experience. Achieving goals allowed me to collect objects and unlock new stages—adding another layer of complexity. That being said, Netflix is stepping beyond its usual mobile game offerings by offering #cloudgaming. You don’t need a full gaming setup—you can stream games directly from Netflix's servers to any of your devices. Have you embarked on this Netflix gaming journey? What are your two cents? Any other Netflix TV games that left you pleasantly surprised? Let's swap stories! 🎮🍿 #NetflixGaming #BetaTestingAdventures #SwipeToPlay #SanicaShares

Despite not having a license to be officially distributed in China, The Finals was the #15 most watched PC game across Chinese game live streaming platforms Huya, Douyu and Bilibili. The game does have a Simplified Chinese localization and can be accessed by Chinese gamers via Steam. One intriguing aspect we've seen mentioned in reviews and social media chatter is the coincidental alignment of the games acronym "TF" with that of "TFBoys", a popular Chinese idol group. This has led to playful interactions among players who have humorously referenced phrases such as "Hello, we are TFBoys" when talking about the game. One other aspect is that the game has seen an issue with cheat software being used, impacting the perception of the title among players. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/enifb6F
