In this episode, we will address the conundrum of SMBH (Super Massive Blackholes) appearing in the early universe. The earlier explanation of SMBH suggested that the blackhole at the centre of the galaxy grew in size over billions of years to reach its current size. This would mean, as you look farther, you should see smaller sized Blackholes. But evidence suggested to the contrary. A big shout out to the book and Ruha's videos about it. I played a section from one of the videos to seed the breakout room conversations at one of our sessions focused on anti-racism and equity at work. It sparked some serious stretching of the minds for all of us to envision what a brand new reality. And it was also interesting to see how many times we kept falling into the trap of incremental thinking - a nip here, a tuck there... as you put, we have allowed our minds to be "colonized" into status quo framework. Many thanks for writing this book and challenging us to new ways of being!
