The current frontier for Generative AI is precise creative control. And while we all wait for Generative models to go 4D and output animated Gaussian Splats directly ( because Generating pixels is soo 2024 😜) hybrid 3D+AI workflows are the most promising. Reading between the lines, the workflow below is actually Blender -> Stable Diffusion ( because ControlNets ) -> Flux Image 2 Image. It'll be interesting to see how quickly the Open Source community can port these tools directly to Flux. #3DAI #Flux

This is so neat ... workflows are becoming better and better in the world of AI based content creation. ConrolNets will also help out alot to further improve this. We have seen so many disruptive technologies over the past 30 years but I this is on a new level.

Black Forest Labs – the original team behind Stable Diffusion - released #Flux - a state-of-the-art text-to-image model which competes with Midjourney and Dall-E 3 in quality. This poseable humans workflow uses a 3D Mixamo rig in #blender, single prompt retexturing with Playbook and refined with Flux in #comfyui. While we wait for compatible ControlNets to be released, I used Flux as an upscaling / finetuning pass specifically because it handles hands and faces so well. The 3D rig approach is interesting because it opens the door for full freedom over character design in traditional animation workflows.

It's quite astonishing to see how 3D modelling and rigging are now assisting with the creation of AI-generated imagery! The more I learn about XR and AI, the more I realise that 3D skills are becoming an essential asset to have for future jobs in the tech industry! Animation, AI, Spacial / XR Design and Software Development have become the four pillars holding up the new IoT era. ...That said, it's becoming more important than ever now- that we look after our Digital Human Rights. As exciting as the prospects of cutting-edge technology are, it's important to maintain a grounded and critical outlook towards the giants at the forefront of this movement. Question your algorithm recommendations, your data-sharing choices- and scrutinize companies and people who have been frequently proven to only have their own self-interest in mind. This is also an era of instability, where people's employment —whether it be in the tech industry or elsewhere— has never been more at risk. I just finished this wine bottle animation for a fictionary brand named Davi Sansi. I designed the bottles from scratch in Blender and designed the label in Illustrator. The goal of this project was to work on lighting, animation sequencing, liquid simulation, and composition. Three-Phase 12-Pulse Diode Rectifier This animation illustrates a three-phase 12-pulse diode rectifier, which has two full-bridge rectifiers connected in series on the DC side. Each of the full-bridge rectifiers was already explained in an earlier post https://lnkd.in/gwm9XKVS. The two sets of ac sources are phase-shifted by 30 degrees to create 12 pulses on the dc side voltage within each ac fundamental cycle. The phase-shift between the two sets of ac voltage sources is typically created by a transformer's secondary windings that are connected in wye- or delta-configuration. The aspect ratio of the video clip is set to 16:9 for better fitting the figures.

I indicated you could go 12, 18, 24 pulse. this is 2×6, pulse 3×6, pulse 4×6 pulse. These represent 30° shifts that he mentions in this particular article. 12-pulse rectifiers, with wye-delta and wye-wye transfomers get the advantages of the Fourier expansion of wye-delta phase current to have their 5th and 7th harmonics out-of-phase of the Fourier expansion of wye-wye phase currents, allowing them to add to zero. Since all triple harmonics are cancelled in such floating neutral three-phase connection, the utility company will see only the initial 11th and 13th harmonics. Therefore, simple LC trap filters will remove those harmonics, and the line current for high power application becomes with Excellent Power Factor. That is the reason those rectifiers are adopted for Very High Power applications as well as in the first generation of thyristor-based (SCR) HVDC transmission lines.
