Currently, I have been on am IMC audit visit of an exploratory endeavor undertaken by a large oil and gas company in the region of Balochistan. The visit was accompanied by many new experiences in terms of checking of compliance with reference to the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) Non-Objection Certificate (NOC). From looking and observing the workers conducting their daily assignments to the vehicle and fuel storage areas as well as solid and liquid waste management practices. In addition to this, the safety conditions such as proper PPEs usage and fire preventative measures were also assessed. A truly memorable experience and a good addition to my growing portfolio. #PPEawareness #fireprevention #wastemanagement #pollutioncontrol #communityengagement #indigenousrights #environmentalimpact #responsibleinvestment #ESG #sustainablepractices #energytransition #growingportfolio #professionaldevelopment #learningjourney #makingadifference #Pakistan #Balochistandiaries #industrialvisit #fieldwork

🌏 Navigating HSE Excellence in Papua New Guinea's Growing Extractive Industries in 2024 As Papua New Guinea (PNG) experiences unprecedented growth in its oil and gas as well as mining industries in 2024, the trajectory of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) takes center stage, demanding a strategic and forward-looking approach. 1. Rigorous Industry-Specific Training: With the surge in extractive activities, a dedicated focus on industry-specific training is paramount. Equipping workers with specialized knowledge and skills not only enhances safety practices but also fosters a culture of responsibility within the burgeoning oil and gas and mining sectors. 2. Stringent Safety Standards for Resource Extraction: As PNG's resource wealth unfolds, implementing and enforcing stringent safety standards in resource extraction becomes non-negotiable. A comprehensive approach to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) safeguards the well-being of workers and mitigates environmental risks associated with extractive operations. 3. Environmental Stewardship and Conservation: In the face of increased extractive activities, PNG must intensify efforts towards environmental stewardship. Balancing economic growth with environmental conservation is a delicate task. 2024 calls for sustainable practices, robust monitoring, and proactive measures to preserve the country's rich biodiversity. 4. Emergency Preparedness and Response: Given the inherent risks in the oil and gas and mining sectors, an enhanced focus on emergency preparedness and response is imperative. Developing and regularly testing contingency plans ensures swift and effective responses to potential accidents, minimizing both human and environmental impact. 5. Technology Integration for Safety and Monitoring: Embracing technological advancements is key to navigating the complexities of the extractive industries. PNG should invest in state-of-the-art technologies for safety monitoring, predictive maintenance, and real-time data analysis. This not only enhances operational efficiency but also elevates safety standards to international benchmarks. 6. Community Engagement and Sustainable Development: Amidst growth, fostering positive relationships with local communities is essential. A focus on transparent communication, socio-economic development initiatives, and collaboration with indigenous populations ensures that the benefits of extractive industries are shared equitably, promoting sustainable growth. In 2024, Papua New Guinea's HSE direction in the face of booming oil and gas and mining industries is clear: prioritize the safety and well-being of workers, uphold stringent environmental standards, embrace technology for innovation, and engage with communities for sustainable development. It's a journey that demands resilience, responsibility, and a commitment to a safer, more sustainable future. #PNGHSE #ExtractiveIndustries #SafetyFirst 🌏✨

Did you know that an oversized feedwater tank significantly reduces steam system efficiency? Our observations indicate that numerous plants in Indonesia have feed water tanks that are 2.5 to 3 times larger than necessary. Ideally, it is recommended to size the tank at 1.5 times the peak steam demand for optimal efficiency! To know why, read our energy conservation tip- https://lnkd.in/gGDrkePW. #ForbesMarshallIndonesia #Indonesia #TextileIndustry #ProcessEfficiency #EnergyEfficiency #ManufacturingExcellence #Engineering #Sustainability
