#Mobility Minute with Stephanie Brinley on April US Light Vehicle Sales Preview As reports on April US light vehicle sales come in throughout the day, S&P Global Mobility expects to see a decline versus last year as well as versus March 2024. However, there were also fewer selling days contributing to that result and overall, we expect the spring sales momentum to be sustained. We expect monthly sales at about 1.34 million units, likely to lead to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 16.0 million units. If so, this will mark only the third time in the past 24 months this has happened. If results are as expected, this also pulls sales from the first four months of 2024 ahead of the same point in 2023 by about 4%. Today’s #auto sales environment is still defined by mixed signals of advancing inventory and incentives, affordability concerns from high interest rates and still high vehicle prices. Even so, the anticipated April result reflects that consumers are still in the market for a new vehicle. #AprilUSlightvehiclesales #springsalesmomentum #autosalesenvironment #affordabilityconcerns Ask Stephanie a question: https://okt.to/Qn4cRJ
