We're thrilled to announce a major accomplishment: Our AEI Factory at Frasers Property Industrial Thailand (FPIT) has earned its second EDGE CERTIFICATE from IFC - International Finance Corporation, This recognition shows how committed we are to making our buildings energy-efficient, conserving water, and using resources wisely. The renovation of our factory situated within the Laemchabang Industrial Estate marks a pivotal moment in our sustainability journey. We are pleased to bring you to a virtual tour of our latest manufacturing facility in Segamat, Johor, under our subsidiary, IOI Palm Wood Sdn Bhd - https://lnkd.in/ghUidfVt This manufacturing facility is first-of-its-kind in Malaysia, to commercially and sustainably convert unused oil palm trunks (OPT) into eco-friendly, sustainable and high-performance palm wood panels for the furniture and building industries. The idea of repurposing OPT waste into palm wood locks in the GHG which would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. Furthermore, the use of palm wood serves as substitute for traditional timber that would ease the pressure on harvesting natural forest, thus preserving habitats and ecosystems. This is our continued efforts to advance circularity agenda, converting oil palm waste into value-added products. Frasers Property commits to green path in expanding industrial development with the upcoming LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building projects as consulted by ARDOR Green. --- 🌿 In September, we broke ground the first North Industrial & Logistics on Industrial Centre Yen Phong 2C in Bac Ninh province, North Vietnam. This is our maiden project stemming from our partnership with Gelex Group announced earlier this year. Over the next two to three years, we plan to expand our industrial and logistics portfolio in both northern and southern with approximately 680,000 square metre of industrial facilities with dedicated social and wellness amenities for occupiers. --- ♻ Our Industrial and Logistics developments go beyond expectation as we comprise smart, modern, and sustainable industrial estates designed to our Premium Estates Concept that aims to bring an operation-at-ease place with enhanced workplace productivity and occupiers’ health and wellbeing. We are aiming for LEED certification for all of our I&L properties as a minimum.
