↗️Share this 5 Point Checklist on "How To Hire A Nanny" 1. Define Your Needs: Clearly outline your requirements for a nanny, including desired qualifications, duties, schedule, and any special skills or experience needed. 2. Screen Applicants: Conduct thorough background checks, including criminal record checks, reference checks, and verification of certifications or qualifications. 3. If you are looking for Residential Support Workers for your new or established home it might be worth considering people who might not have worked in the sector but those who have transferable skills. Ever heard of the saying "when you ASSUME you make an A** out of U and ME"? So why then when screening applications for new support staff do we say things like "the client lives too far" or "they will never travel that far for an x hour shift"? Perhaps you're not the person at work who screens all the resumes received whenever an ad is placed for a new role, but we can guarantee you one thing - those that are, are definitely making these assumptions even before hopping on the phone to ask the question. Workers may be applying for a role in a suburb deemed "too far to travel" or "outside the travel radius" because they may have other commitments in the area (childcare, uni, tafe, work etc.) so it makes sense to them. Be aware that your team could be missing out on recruiting the most perfect workers because of personal biases related to travel. #recruitment #recruitmentips #recruitmentbias #ndisproviders #agedcare #disabilitycare
