Partnerships are the linch pin of business growth (those that don't know what a linch pin is- need to spend more time working on a farm, or around machinery), offering a multitude of benefits beyond your typical sales strategy. Here's why partnerships are vital and why they aren't necessarily lumped in with your traditional sales org. Good partner orgs manage and build relationships, that "open the door" for sales, and sales development to work and maneuver effectively... Here's a partial breakdown.
-Market Expansion: Partnerships open doors to new markets and customer segments, amplifying reach and driving growth. This growth is not always instant. in fact in some cases it can take years.
-Resource Optimization: By pooling expertise and resources, partnerships fuel innovation, accelerate product development, and hopefully reduce costs.
-Risk Mitigation: Sharing risks and costs with partners- cushions against potential pitfalls, building endurance and of course- resilience.
-Brand Recognition: Aligning with reputable partners enhances brand reputation and credibility, fostering trust and loyalty.
-Innovation: Partnerships spark creativity, leading to co-created solutions that meet evolving (ever evolving, as many of us know 😆) customer demands.
-Networking: Building a robust partner ecosystem amplifies value creation, attracting more customers and opportunities.
Well beyond sales- partnerships involves cross company collaboration, including marketing, product development, operations and more. Strong partnerships are important. Recognize the benefit. Integrate it into your business model and don't be afraid if "results" aren't being met by day 5. 🤣 👊
