FSSAI is tackling a double-headed issue – food waste and hunger❗❗ They're collecting surplus food from weddings or other fancy events and ensuring it reaches those in need. As a manufacturer in the packaging industry, I'm intrigued by this initiative because it aligns with our fundamental principle - SUSTAINABILITY This simple act can have positive impacts across various industries… …for instance, let’s talk about the food processing industry! By diverting surplus food, FSSAI is essentially advocating for responsible production practices. Thus, minimising waste gets generated at the source. This also perfectly aligns with a few themes of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) – food loss and food waste, hunger and food insecurity, etc. So, FSSAI's initiative of "food sharing" promotes: -Efficient resource utilisation -Environmental responsibility -A society that thrives on balance What are your thoughts on this approach?
