The Salvation Army Orange County’s Post

You’ve Got a Friend Best Friends Day falls on June 8 each year to honor your closest and dearest friends. The relationship between best friends is loyal and strong, withstanding even distance, storms, and silence. Whether we’ve known them all our lives or they are more recently acquired, best friends make tough times bearable, fun times memorable, and memorable times priceless. We should always thank God for the positive impact best friends have on our lives. True friends can be hard to find, and if we’re lucky enough to have them, we should cherish and appreciate them as the gifts from God they are. Not only can we befriend others and animals but because of His Son, God can now call us His friends. Romans 5:11 states, “So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.” Ways to Celebrate * Far or near, send your best friend a note.
 * Share a memory of you and best friend on social media
 * Invite your best friend to dinner
 * Make a new best friend. You can have more than one, you know!
