Today, we remember and honor those affected by the tragic events that took place on September 11,2001. Our Emergency Disaster Services team was among the first to come to the rescue that day, stepping up to provide support and comfort when it was needed most. 23 years later, we remain committed to being present where there are emergencies ready to serve with compassion and love. We pray for the victims who lost their lives, their families who grieve their loss, the first responders who came to the rescue, and the survivors impacted by this tragedy. #911Memorial #NeverForget #firstresponders #doingthemostgood

The Salvation Army's International Headquarters has just announced that, effective March 1, 2025, Commissioners Merle and Dawn Heatwole will become the National Leaders of The Salvation Army in the United States.   Commissioners Heatwole are currently serving as Territorial Commander and Territorial President of Women’s Ministries in The Salvation Army’s Latin America North Territory.   Succeeding Commissioners Kenneth and Jolene Hodder, who will retire from active service on February 28, 2025, Commissioner Merle Heatwole will serve as National Commander and Commissioner Dawn Heatwole will serve as National Secretary for Program.   We look forward to their passionate and compassionate service in the coming years, helping The Salvation Army to #DoTheMostGood for more than 27 million people in need each year.    #SalvationArmy #leadership #doingthemostgood
