Hey everyone, I’ve been so busy all summer, but I wanted to update you on what I’ve been doing: 1. I got engaged to my best friend of 10 years❤️ 💍. 2. Facilitated 4 PD sessions throughout the United States to educators and non-profit employees. 3. Celebrated almost 200 interns (35 of them were my co-hort) from high school finishing our program at Urban Alliance DC 4. Traveled to NC, SC, CO, PA, MD to continue to build the brand and impact people through my keynotes & workshops 5. Got inducted as an “honorary member” into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society International because of my work with them and how intentionally was at showing up and impacting them. 6. Wrapped up a 4-year young black male initiative that me and my mentor started at the Coatesville Youth Initiative. *Stay tune for what is to come. 7. Help launch an Alumni group for the Coatesville Youth Initiative , an organization that saved my life when I was a youth. 8. Found a church home in Baltimore, MD and got closer to GOD while I was in a dark place❤️🙏🏾. This is to remind you that: 1. You are doing enough, sometimes you have to reflect on everything to realize it. 2. Run your own race and eventually you’ll get to YOUR FINISHLINE. 3. Stay Humble but Hungry 🦁 4. Life update: This past weekend, I was inducted as an honorary member into the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society International I've had the pleasure of working with them a few times this year, and I am humbled to receive this recognition. This was never the goal. My only goal when I started working with them was to add value and impact lives. I feel blessed and happy to be part of this group. This past weekend, I had the pleasure of working with an amazing group of people at the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society International (Carolinas Region). As a “Team Lead” for their Honors Institute, I had the opportunity to guide a team of incredible individuals through the creation of a mini service project. At the end of the weekend, we presented our project along with the rest of the groups. WE WON FIRST PLACE 🥇 out of 15+ groups! However, the most rewarding part was seeing the impact on my team members' faces as they were recognized for their hard work and creativity. As a leader, it's vital to empower your team to leverage their strengths and set them up for success. This experience reinforced the importance of understanding your team members and their strengths. I can't wait to reconnect with my new family in October. #leadership #phithetakappa #community
