Solving complex legal problems, simply

🥁 ...The results are in ...and the winner is...🥁 (When asked what you value most from your legal advisers) 🥇 PRAGMATISM 🥇 A whopping 41% of people voted for this, although it's definitely something that might divide opinion (especially among lawyers, I guess) 🤔. At Seven Legal we understand that you cannot do business without taking risk (especially in a high-growth environment). Our Fractional GC offer gives you access to senior lawyers who get that. It's not just about black letter law; it's about understanding and managing risk while running a business. Also on the podium: 🥈 RESPONSIVENESS 🥈 - it's amazing how many clients I speak to tell me they feel ignored by their external advisers - this is backed up by the poll results that show over a third of you felt this was the most valued characteristic in a legal adviser. The Fractional GC model gives you the look and feel of an in-house lawyer (think Slack integrations etc.) which means we can be responsive and pro-active in dealing with legal challenges. 🥉 LEGAL EXPERTISE 🥉 - a quarter of people thought this was most valuable. We agree. It's got to be the foundation on which pragmatic advice is given.   Overall, my key takeaway is that it's probably a given that you are an expert at what you do. However for legal advisers, as with any business, you need to have customer experience front of mind when providing your service. Maybe a useful reminder for us lawyers... 😅

I couldn't agree more with the results! Pragmatism, responsiveness, and legal expertise are definitely crucial for legal advisers to provide effective support to businesses. 🏆

Interesting results. Pragmatism is a key skill that I hear alot from my legal in-house clients when they are hiring - alot of my clients focus more on the commercial skills (and softer skills), as you're right, technical skills as a lawyer tend to be a given!
