Kromek Group plc (AIM:KMK) said it has won a quartet of advanced imaging orders worth a total of US$1.63 million from existing manufacturing customers. The developer of radiation and bio-detection technology solutions said all four are to provide detector components based on its core cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) platform for CT scanning, gamma imaging applications and gamma probes. Two of the orders are for delivery in the current financial year and two are for delivery over the next 12 to 24 months, it said. In medical imaging, CZT-based products enable ultra-high-resolution imaging systems, which due to the improved image quality enable clinicians to make earlier diagnoses and so improve patient outcomes. Chief executive Arnab Basu said: "We are pleased to have received these orders from existing customers, which is illustrative of the repeat nature of our business in the advanced imaging segment. Over 2023, SNOMED International focused on increasing the value it delivers to the #SNOMEDCT community and on expanding our reach across the globe through innovative collaborations and industry engagements and by further developing tools and resources that support our Members and other stakeholders. A few highlights include: 11 releases of SNOMED CT International Edition; the release of 15 derivatives, freesets and refsets; a total of four new or renewed collaboration agreements; the addition of six new Members; 18 news releases and blogs published; and the launch, together with Regenstrief Institute, Inc., a preview of the LOINC Ontology, a #LOINC and #SNOMEDCT interoperability solution. We also worked with an industry coalition to develop a SNOMED CT-enabled module for an open-source electronic medical record and much more -- all while completing 88% of the strategic and 98% of the operational deliverables included in this year’s work plan.
