Inspired by Darren's guide (https://lnkd.in/exm75WsW ), I've had a go at rolling my own AI coursebots. There's one for GCSE Classical Civilisation (targeted at the second Persian War) and one for ISEB Geography (which has a broader remit). http://tinkerbang.com The process is pretty straightforward. Broadly, it's two steps: 1) you compile your syllabus, mark schemes, past papers and the like 2) design your prompt to get the AI to role play a tutor (I didn't try it but presumably you could get it to adopt a Mr Chips or a Snape, depending on one's preferences) There's some fiddling around with servers, but nothing too awful. Both my bots seem a little slow but it was an enjoyable Bank Holiday project.

I just thought I'd share this song from one of my students' discussion posts! Here's the assignment first: --- Week 1 Discussion: AI Playground  In this discussion, you will be introducing yourself and your interests using your experience with the AI playground. Using AI, create a simple AI-generated illustration that depicts two interests you are passionate about. For example, in the image above, you can see that the student is passionate about fishing and chess. They don't necessarily go together, so the picture ends up being somewhat quirky, which is absolutely fine. These interests should be something you not only enjoy but also something you involve yourself in. Do you volunteer on a regular basis? Take part in a sport? Care deeply about a social issue? This is a great place to show your enthusiasm. Then, Create a post, poem, script, news story, etc. about you and your interests that introduces you to the class in a creative way. It must be text. You can write this yourself, use AI to write it, or do something in between. Now, Add something spectacular from the "Misc. Creations" category of "Play with Some"AI"—for example, a short song, video clip, slideshow, poem, or comic. Have you tried Udio? Yes, it's a new AI, but for music, and it's pretty powerful. This is something I created the other night. You just give it the parameters by tagging the genre; you can add your text for the vocals or let it autogenerate. I mostly like to write my own and then add additional verses using ChatGPT.

This is pretty neat. The tokenizer playground enables AI developers to experiment with tokenizers from the various AI model architectures directly in the browser. AI Developers can easily test how their input text would be tokenized by the different models. This can be valuable when designing prompts, as it allows developers to optimize prompts to fit within token limits and to understand how the model will process the input. By experimenting with tokenizers from various architectures, AI developers can compare how efficiently different models handle specific types of text.
