Your Employees aren't just "Employees" They are equal human beings first and deserve the same respect as you. Gone are the days when working longer hours without pay or being available on the weekends was a norm, it is important to value your employees. At a lot of instances, employees are taken for granted and not treated as they should be. This is the number one mistake that can make you lose your top performers. With the world opening up more and more, there is an endless stream of opportunities. There is always a superficial relationship between good employees and good opportunities. This post is definitely a must-read for both employees and employers alike!

Employees should be treated right, here are my opinions on it…. 1. Empathy and Understanding: Recognize that employees have lives outside of work, and they may encounter personal challenges or struggles. Showing empathy and understanding during difficult times can foster loyalty and commitment. 2. Open Communication: Encourage open communication where employees feel comfortable expressing their opinions, concerns, and ideas. Feeling heard and valued strengthens the bond between employees and the organization. 3. Work-Life Balance: Promote a healthy work-life balance by offering flexible work arrangements, paid time off, and support for personal commitments. Recognize the importance of mental health and well-being in employee satisfaction and retention. 4. Recognition and Appreciation: Acknowledge and appreciate employees for their contributions and achievements. Simple gestures like a thank-you note, public recognition, or small rewards can go a long way in boosting morale and motivation. 5. Professional Development: Invest in employees' growth and development by providing opportunities for learning, training, and career advancement. Showing a commitment to employees' long-term success demonstrates care and investment in their future. 6. Fair Treatment: Ensure fairness and transparency in policies, procedures, and decision-making processes. Employees should feel that they are treated equitably and that their contributions are recognized and rewarded fairly. 7. Supportive Environment: Create a supportive work environment where diversity, inclusion, and respect are valued. Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect among employees. 8. Feedback and Coaching: Offer constructive feedback and coaching to help employees improve and grow professionally. Regular performance evaluations and development conversations demonstrate a commitment to employees' success. 9. Flexibility and Adaptability: Be willing to adapt and accommodate employees' needs and preferences whenever possible. Recognize that everyone has different work styles, preferences, and obligations outside of work. 10. Lead by Example: As leaders and managers, demonstrate the behavior and values you expect from employees. When you value your employees you have to show them not just tell them. Work life balance is more than a catch phrase - embrace your employees for not only the work they do, but the people they are. Providing them time away and encouraging them to use it should be the norm not the exception.
