Wise advice from Nathalie Gosselin from Vine Styles. ➡️“Surround yourself with all the best women you know, and don’t hesitate to speak up, ask for help and believe in yourself. ➡️Always keep in mind that what you are struggling with, or going through, is probably being felt by a lot of other women.” Cc: Calgary Herald Darren Oleksyn #IWD #womeninbusiness #womenempowerment #womenentrepreneurs

As we approach the end of this empowering month, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing women on our team. Collaborating with each of them daily fills us with overwhelming thankfulness. Their contributions and perspectives have not only enhanced Monarch’s approach to challenges and opportunities but also enriched our internal collaboration and inclusion efforts. Join us in celebrating Women’s History Month and read the inspiring insights from the incredible women on our team below. - The sun continues to shine bright on women’s achievements. Growing up in the early 80’s, there were few opportunities to play sports, unless you played on all the boys’ teams, which I did. Today, it is amazing to see the growth and support of women’s sports. This translates to corporate America today. Seeing women forge new paths in new industries and up that corporate ladder, gives me a sense of optimism for what’s to come. Keep shining! - “I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.” - Louisa May Alcott, from Little Women. I read this quote when I was 9 and it was my favorite book when I was little. I think many of the positive posts we see could be attributed to this quote. Women are strong and get things done. We figure it out as we go by asking, learning and doing because we HAVE to. - Women’s History Month brings to light the change that has occurred through women in corporate America. One change that I strive to embody is being supportive rather than competitive in a world where we are taught that competition is the key to getting ahead, whereas I actually believe it’s collaboration. I also believe this month is about acknowledging that we collectively play a role in how women can continue to make strides forward. This is shown through our strength, not just in traditional sense of the word, but in our ability to show love, care, and listen with empathy – qualities that come naturally to many women. - “I do everything the man does, only backwards and in high heels!”- Ginger Rogers I am lucky to have grown up seeing women in leadership positions. I have looked up to many women in my life as role models and inspiration. With this, I always saw a direct comparison between women and men, for these powerful women were able to make significant waves in male dominated spaces…all inspiring. In slight opposition, as I am now working towards being one of those inspirations myself, I want to be able to embrace femininity in conjunction with instead of in opposition to success. - Monarch’s investment in the National Women's Hall of Fame has opened my eyes to the remarkable achievements of women throughout history. Reflecting on the strength and determination of the women in my life, I'm inspired by their belief that anything is achievable with determination. CELEBRATING WOMEN’S MONTH! Join us in recognising and appreciating the hardworking women who make our organisation what it is today. Your strength, resilience, and brilliance make all the difference. Meet Mrs Sancha Van Heerden Sancha is our Senior Business Developer, responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with other organisations. Her responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, developing innovative business solutions and services, overseeing business administration, managing contracts, and providing comprehensive reports. Sancha also works directly with organisation's management, sales, and marketing teams, analyse current market trends and present new revenue-generating strategies. She also oversees responses to relevant government tenders and grant applications that are aligned with our core business. What’s the significance of Women’s Month for Sancha? “Women’s Month is an important day to reflect on the importance of women in our society. Traditionally, men have been bred to be rulers, leaders, fighters, protectors, hunters, defenders, and breadwinners. The woman performs the role of wife, partner, organizer, administrator, director, disburser, economist, mother, disciplinarian, teacher, health officer, artist and “queen” in the family at the same time. Women and men cannot live without each other. Each gender is equally important when it comes to children and society. Since every other day is a man’s day in a male-dominated society, Women’s Month is an important reminder of the importance of women in the mix”. “I don't go by the rule book. I lead from the heart, not the head.“ Princess Diana #WomensMonth #WomenInBusiness #EnterprisesUP #Empowerment #Leadership #ResearchAndConsultingSolutions

Happy International Women's month. This month I hope for a few things: 1. That my co-workers and network will pause to consider the challenges of the women they love and respect in the workplace. That out of that moment of consideration, they will think about what role they can play in supporting, challenging and encouraging the women around them. And perhaps pausing to ask a female leader, even for a few moments, what challenges they are facing today and just listen (intentionally) to their response. 2. That the women in my peer group would reach out to each other to ask how they can mentor those below them, how they can challenge their counterparts and how they can honor/respect/support their female leaders. I need to be mindful of this too and stop running through the motions of work and life. 3. That we don't treat this month like it doesn't matter, but we mindfully pause to consider our roles in encouraging the diversity and views of those who are different from us and how we can amplify and enable their voices. Today I am thankful for working moms. Those who stay in the workplace to share their beautiful/unique perspectives and (after a full and stressful day at work) still come home to invest and dig deep with their families. You are amazing! You bring so much value <3 4. That we don't degrade or devalue anyone else because "this is our month" but that we mindfully celebrate successes and intentionally sit in the challenges. If nothing else, please pause to recognize the work of a woman you respect (and be specific).

kudos to E.L.F. BEAUTY for this ad campaign and their “Change the Board Game” initiative, which aims to help double the rate of women and diverse members added to corporate boards by 2027. there are more men named "Dick" on publicly traded boards than entire groups of under-represented people. let that sink in for a second. employees that make up companies and their respective communities are diverse, so Board representation should reflect that. we don't need more of the same, we need something different. our differences lead to more perspectives and broader thinking in the Boardroom. we have enough Dicks and need more Diversity. case closed. #humanresources #governance #diversity #equity #inclusion #leadership

Thank you Sid and team for highlighting women in the spirits industry on this day - International Women's Day 2024. A common theme in this and other articles are the obstacles women entrepreneurs face when raising capital. So today I put out a challenge to the investor community - I and at least 4 other brand owners in the wine & spirits space, who have collaborated for years, seek to put together a portfolio of existing women-owned brands. But we need the capital to do it. Together we can grow faster, soar higher, and provide a managed risk path to a ROI more than investment in a stand-alone brand can. If any longer-view investors are willing to really get behind women in spirits, my DM is open! #investors #venturecapital #privateequity #womenfounders #womensupportingwomen #womenshistorymonth #spiritsindustry #wineindustry
