Chief Learning Strategist @ Steal These Thoughts!🤘I help L&D Pros improve performance with tech + AI
With so many "AI-powered" tools everywhere now, it's hard to know who's doing useful stuff. Everyone is tagging 'AI' onto their product, yet few can deliver. That's different with the folks at Sana I've admired their work for many years, so getting the chance to collaborate with them this year has been a blast. The platform is probably the most beautiful interface I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot) and the feature set just keeps getting better, plus these people actually know AI. I'm stoked they asked me to feature in their summer release campaign. Never did I think I'd feature on the same landing page with Carl Pei, creator of OnePlus and Nothing. But here we are! Anyway, you can check out why I like what Sana does: https://lnkd.in/eFR9kBb6 #learninganddevelopment #education #artificialintelligence
Right. Not sure what this means either. Learning is inherently social and thus based on interactions which tend to include conversations….. Transactional? Enigma. I like SaNA and Joels impressive work. The quote though seems to miss its intent.
Its a great learning platform, and a great team - just posted about our experience with them today.
Great to hear Ross Stevenson. Always love to see a champion of Sana. Some stunning products with a passionate team behind them and a key differentiator in the market. Your expertise + Sana = (innovation) rocket fuel 🚀 for L&D teams.
Fantastic, Ross!
A conversation is a transaction between at least to living entities. Unless AI has a self and a world model, there is no self-centered and entity inside that is capable of having need. AI in these days is automated statistics based on GLM only able to deliver regression or discrimination. That is to say, do not fall for humanizing AI. It is powerful and AI tutors are great, but all this dialogue simulation is not even close to a dialogue. BUT: It helps a lot in many cases and many people. Learning with AI on the other hand has a multitude of factors, above all: transaction of present with your own past. And that is where AI comes in: It shows that parts of your individual habits, patterns and internal scripts that do not help with the very task. Up to now AI is a smarter way of googling, but it could be much more if we stop humanizing it and start using recent research in learning. We could start with where to put cognitive load intentionally and where to decrease it, because learning is NOT knowing but understanding.
Bring on the conversation 👊
Ross Stevenson Congratulations on the collaboration!

1moI agree with your take on Sana and what they’ve accomplished so far. Some very cool stuff. I'm curious, what are a couple of areas you believe Sana could improve/extend their product(s) to further distance themselves from the competition?
