I don't think AI's ultimate impact on L&D is about more and better content creation. This is the tip of the iceberg. Beyond the surface, there's an opportunity for L&D to transform. Transform into those who are strategic. Those who look at the organization as a system. Those who lift blockers for people & organizations to learn and grow. Those who look at connection and experience first. I think Sana is onto something. And I'm quite proud to call them our partners on so many levels. They recently invited me to share some of my thoughts about the future of L&D for their summer release (which has a very cool name: Renaissance). While I don't have a crystal ball 🔮, I'm open to dreaming and sharing my thoughts with those who listen - and they definitely listen! I love this Lavinia! It answers the questions about what AI means we can do differently...which isn't more of the same (i.e. courses and resources). Instead it means that we can create the resources and experiences that support performance effectively: 1. The RIGHT content vs. generalized content for all 2. Prioritizing individual motivation vs. compliance and assignment 3. Learning design approach vs. optimizing development
I agree, but I think content and course building is the easiest way for people to begin to wrap their head around Gen AI and its capabilities. Once people can get more comfortable then making the next reach to strategy, personalization, etc makes sense as we obviously dont want it to stop with content.
We are so excited about this release!
