Really great achievements always appear to be things that seemed impossible before. You might first think of achievements like man going to the moon or taking pictures of the farthest regions of the universe. And those are amazing achievements. And how about some of your personal achievements? Take a moment to remember yourself when you were a teenager. What things have you achieved by now, that you thought to be impossible then? I bet that you will be able to write down at least three. And if you spend some more time on this, probably you’ll be able to come up with some more. This exercise is very valuable, because you’ll discover that you’ve achieved some pretty cool things already, and that there is much to be grateful for.   Next, take a moment to reflect on what there is in your life now, that you believe is impossible? Don’t you think the same applies to your life now, as what applied to your life when you were a teenager? You’ve already proven that you can do the impossible. Or rather, that you can do what you believed to be impossible. The only thing that changed was your belief about what’s possible.   So how about today you intentionally change one belief about an “impossible” thing? Reimagine what’s possible, redefine what’s possible!

Alright, let's cut the BS and get real for a minute. We're talking failures—yeah, those gut-punch moments that knock the wind out of you and make you question everything. For the longest time, I had my heart set on getting into one of the top B-schools of India. That was the dream, the goal I chased with everything I had. But guess what? Life laughed in my face and said, "Not today, buddy." Rejection after rejection, and suddenly, my plans were in shambles. I won't lie, it stung like hell. I was staring down the barrel of Plan B—settling for some decent college and pretending it was all part of the grand plan. But then, out of nowhere, fate decided to give me a kick in the ass. Next thing I know, I'm on a plane to the UK, headed for an unexpected opportunity abroad. No friends, no safety net—just me, my two suitcases, and a whole lot of uncertainty. Fast forward to today, and I'm sitting here, 1 year and 8 months later, feeling extremely grateful for every single bump in the road. Was studying abroad all sunshine and rainbows? Hell no. There were tears, moments of crippling homesickness, and more than a few "what the hell am I doing here?" meltdowns. But you know what? In between the chaos and the doubt, there was growth. The kind that comes from staring fear in the face and saying, "Screw you, I'm doing this anyway." Now, as I settle into a job I actually love here in London, I can't help but look back and laugh at how life has a way of throwing curveballs when you least expect it. Happy with what we have… or desiring more? When we compare ourselves to others it is easy to feel inadequate or to wish you had what they have. This does not help us achieve what we desire. I have done this before and have seen that it doesn’t work. Instead of comparing myself to others, I now practice looking at myself and comparing me to me. I ask if I am better today than I was yesterday and work to be better tomorrow than I am today. A great friend and coach gave me the advice to say each morning “ I am grateful for what I have and I am willing to work for more”. Thank you Thane Isaacs, those words create a mindset each day that there is always more to be achieved, always more to learn, always more to love, yet I am also very thankful for all that I have already achieved, all that I have already learned and all that I love. Having adversity gives you better understanding on how difficult life can be. Therefore you will have the humility as your default attitude. That's what makes you move everyday. Be grateful for that. Because unfortunately some people never had that in their life and are trapped into a way of thinking that life should be easy, and so they find it difficult to be humble and kind. #perspective

GRATITUDE FOR THOSE WHO ARE AHEAD OF YOU-LEARN FROM THEIR JOURNEY! When you are working on the dream or vision of your life, it is obvious that there will be others who have also walked on the same path and are ahead of you. Then there are those who will be coming up behind you. It is human nature that we love to be ahead of others, first in line or the best. It is therefore easy to be comfortable or accommodating with those who are behind us. However many of us find it difficult to be genuinely grateful for those who are ahead of us. We begrudgingly acknowledge their effort, unknowingly looking for some stain or blight to prove to ourselves that indeed they are not all that or that they were unscrupulous in their dealings in order to get where they are! Now, I am not naïve to the fact that there are unprincipled people but I know that there are many more genuine people with real success. A sour countenance carries with it two thieves. ·        The thief of all joy-comparison. Instead of being charged to keep fighting and moving forward, you will be discouraged that others are so far ahead of you and you may never ‘catch up’. ·        A sense of self-entitlement. You begin to think that no one else deserves to make it except you. Before you know it, you carry around a huge judgmental and self-righteous chip on your shoulder that ultimately blocks your view ahead. Gratitude on the other hand will gift you with: ·        An ability to look for the good in every person. ·        An open mind that is ready to learn. ·        Recognize and learn from how others navigated challenges in their own journey. ·        See the different pathways or alternatives that you can follow in your own journey. ·        The persistence to continue when it looks bleak because others have done it too! #gratitude #celebrateotherssuccess #clapforothers #learnfromotherssuccess #gratitudefriday

THIS IS SUPPOSED to be the beginning of a new year . I wonder what we mean by a new year? Is it a fresh year, a year that is totally fresh, something that has never happened before? When we talk of something new—though we know there is nothing new under the sun—when we talk of a new and happy year, is it really a new year for us? Or is it the same old pattern repeated over and over and over again—the same old rituals, the same old tradition, the same old habits, a continuity of what we have been doing, still are doing, and will do this year also? So is there anything new? Is there anything that is really fresh, something that you have never seen before? I think this is a rather important question if you will follow it. To turn all the days of our life into something which we have never seen before—that means a brain that has freed itself from its conditioning, from its characteristics, from its idiosyncrasies, opinions, judgements, and convictions.
