Transferable skills from working in TV news: Ability to manage multiple deadlines quickly. Writing everything from news release copy to reports quickly. Ability to add visuals to a story please. Recognizing (hopefully) what makes a good, human story and making that a highlight of the story pitch. Ability to be a valuable resource to other journalists: if you don't know an answer, you know who will. Treating co-workers better than you were treated while still in the business. Remembering what your worst managers would do and doing the opposite.

Does it also count for a Burned Out Radio News Director/Reporter? After 34 years in radio, I’m looking for a remote marketing/writing type of role, something that offers an opportunity to be more creative!
