🌟 Reflecting on My First Job: A Journey of Growth and Gratitude 🌟 As I bid farewell Accenture, where my career journey began, I'm filled with deep gratitude. Accenture has been more than just a workplace; it's been a catalyst for my personal and professional growth. Joining Accenture straight out of college was a defining moment for me. It provided me with the invaluable opportunity into the dynamic world of cloud technology from the very start of my career. I learned firsthand about the power of scalability, resilience, rapid elasticity, and availability—fundamental pillars of the cloud domain that continue to shape industries worldwide. Beyond technical skills, Accenture has given me something priceless—an identity and confidence in my abilities. I am truly fortunate to have worked alongside brilliant colleagues and under the guidance of supportive managers who believed in my potential and nurtured my growth every step of the way. Leaving Accenture wasn't an easy decision. Experiences I've gained here are invaluable. However, I am excited about the next chapter of my career journey. To everyone at Accenture who has been a part of my journey—thank you. Your mentorship, and support have made my time here meaningful. Today marks the end of a chapter and my last day at Accenture after 17 years! It also marks the beginning of a NEW and exciting chapter as I am officially retiring from corporate and beginning a corporate detox! I have spent my entire career in HR working in a corporate environment. I've grown, personally and professionally, and accomplished things I never knew I could. Most importantly, I've met some really great, talented people and for that I am grateful. What's next for me: 1. Slowing Down and enjoying stillness 2. Spending quality time with my soon to be teenager because I only have 6 summers left with her before she is 18! 3. Doing as little as possible that has anything to do with Excel spreadsheets! 4. Focusing on my creative talents of which I have many! An original poem by yours truly: "Closed Doors" When one door closes, your mind opens. Opens to the who you were before the door closed. Opens to the who you are now that the door has closed. Opens to the possibilities of who you can be along with all there is to see. A closed door is the metaphoric demonstration that it is time for renewal, growth, rest, reflection and gratitude. Gratitude for not only where you've been, but for where you are going.

Most kickoff the new year planning for what’s ahead. But this week being my 4 year Accenture anniversary, I’m taking a moment to look back on all that we’ve accomplished as a team and how much I’ve personally grown along the way. After 5 roles in 4 years, I’ve come to realize there is only one constant: change. Each new experience led me to incredible people and taught me what it means to accept—and dare I say, embrace—change with an open (and creative) mind. Saying yes to problem solving, complexity, and impact at scale is always the right answer, no matter the industry, function or client value opportunity. I’m extra grateful for this Accenture Marketing + Communications community, it’s really more about the people I get to collaborate with and lead that makes it all worth it! 2024 is sure to bring even more change, driven by technology like #GenAI (check out our latest Tech Vision report below to see just how it’s extending our creativity!) and the human ingenuity we bring to each Accenture experience. Signing off from #Accenture As I bid farewell on my last working day after completing around 2.5 years in Accenture. I am filled with mixed emotions. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Accenture. This company has given me some wonderful managers to learn from & amazing friends to behold for life. This has been undoubtedly the best start to my corporate career!!. Getting transformed from just a cheerful enthusiastic college graduate into a skilled corporate professional. Accenture has beautifully curved out the way for me. I have had the privilege of collaborating with some of the brightest mind in the industry, each interaction leaving an indelible mark on my professional journey. The Project I’ve been a part of have not only honed my skills but also broadened my  perspective, allowing me to tackle complex problems with confidence and creativity. But beyond the projects and deadlines, it’s the people that have made my time at Accenture truly memorable. From mentors who guided me along the way to colleagues who became friends, I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by a supportive and inspiring team. Leaving accenture was a difficult choice but as I embark on the next chapter of my career, I carry with me the lessons learnt and the relationships during my time at Accenture. Though I may be signing off from this chapter, the experiences and memories will continue to shape my journey forward. Thank you, Accenture for an incredible ride. Today marks a milestone in my career journey as I celebrate 28 years in Accenture. As I reflect on this journey, i want to share a perspective that has been my guiding light throughout: Always look at the glass half full. Over the years, I've learned that seeing the good in the people and situations can make all the difference. By focusing on the strengths of individuals and the positive aspects of every situation, we can better support each other and bring out the best in each other. After all, we are all made differently and everyone has their unique strengths and qualities. Similar, every company has its flaw and challenges. However, by choosing to see the good in the organisation, we can cultivate a mindset of positivity and resilience. Instead of focusing on the shortcomings, we are empowered to strive for excellence and make meaningful impact. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey - colleagues, clients and ecosystem partners. 🚀 From feeling stuck to soaring high: Embracing career growth through change 🚀 Early in my career, I spent two years at Deloitte. While I gained valuable experience, the limited exposure to development and deployment left me feeling unfulfilled. The lack of challenging projects made it difficult to showcase my skills and even consider a job switch. Finally taking the leap and joining Accenture in India was the turning point. The new environment provided opportunities to work on exciting technologies and lay the foundation for my career. I gained confidence, expanded my skill set, and discovered my true potential. My journey continued with EY, where I'm currently engaged in fulfilling projects that challenge and inspire me. The Takeaways 🤔 Switching companies can be a catalyst for growth. It exposes you to new technologies, provides opportunities to learn and develop, and often leads to better compensation and recognition. If you're feeling stagnant or undervalued, don't be afraid to explore new horizons.
