SO stoked to be a part of this incredible team! Turnkey is doing awesome things to make experiences better for the next wave of crypto users and developers — I've never seen a team so focused on building a high-quality product that tackles some of the hardest problems in crypto. I remember when I first started exploring crypto two years ago. The experience was clunky, difficult, and I got scammed almost immediately by an NFT project. Unfortunately, this is still the norm today. As a user looking to try the multitude of products that web3 has to offer, I remain disappointed by the “improvements” that we’ve made to crypto UX. In 2024, UX should be low-hanging fruit. It should be second instinct to think about how to improve current user patterns to optimize crypto for everyone, because working towards mass adoption is how we will democratize the global financial rails that is crypto. Instead, we get stuck in the same patterns again and again! The learning curve for someone who has never touched crypto before is still extremely high. We forget that even the basic unit of a “wallet” is completely unintuitive and difficult at times. As an industry, we shouldn’t be debating which wallets are better or slicker than others. We should be rethinking how we interact with the chain entirely (EIP-4337 and EIP-3074 are addressing this, but the developer stack is also getting better by the day). That's why I'm excited to build at Turnkey. Instead of trying to fit developer tools into current crypto UX patterns, we’re *truly* redefining what it means to innovate in crypto, by building composable primitives that help developers think out of the box. This means low-level primitives for anything involving a cryptographic key pair, which enables innovative products utilizing passkeys, fine-grained permissions, alternative auth & recovery options, and more. Excited to help bring Turnkey’s vision of securing the open internet to life!

We’re excited to announce that we’ve raised $15 million in Series A funding! 🎉 This round was co-led by Faction VC and Galaxy Ventures, with participation from Sequoia Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Alchemy, Figment, and Mirana Ventures. Thank you to our partners and supporters for embracing our vision. Two years ago, Turnkey started as a provider of secure, flexible, and scalable wallet infrastructure. Today, our core mission is to secure the open internet. Teams like Alchemy, Dynamic, and Eversify Labs' Thunder Terminal are using Turnkey’s composable on-chain primitives to build better products, without sacrificing security and scalability for convenience. Developers can create a variety of on-chain experiences, from embedded wallets to granting limited signing permission to AI agents. This new funding will enable us to double down on our efforts in developing critical primitives that bring crypto developers’ visions to life. We plan to scale our operations to meet increasing demand from builders who want to create the next generation of on-chain applications. We’ve been hard at work shipping wallet import, webhooks, and the EIP-1193-provider package — with many more exciting launches slated for the months ahead. Are you a developer interested in building on Turnkey? Get started with our free quickstart guide, join our community support Slack, or reach out to share what you’re building. And if you’re someone who wants to join us in our mission, we’re hiring. This is just the latest milestone, and we can’t wait for what lies ahead.
