Recommended books about Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIA). As a follow-up to my previous post about TIA techniques, here are some of the best sources I used to learn about this amplifier class. A transimpedance amplifier seems like a very simple amplifier (just one feedback resistor...), but it actually is one of the more complex amplifier configurations. ◾"Photodiode Amplifiers: OP AMP Solutions" https://lnkd.in/dbPjrUuk ◾"Analysis and Design of Transimpedance Amplifiers for Optical Receivers" https://lnkd.in/dErua7aY ◾Chapter 18 from the excellent book by Philip Hobbs: "Building Electro-Optical Systems: Making It All Work, 3rd Edition" https://lnkd.in/dUR-deHr ◾Section 8.11 in "The Art of Electronics" (3rd edition) deals very nicely with the topic of noise in transimpedance amplifiers. https://lnkd.in/dzPAfivb ◾Section 4x.3 from "The Art of Electronics - The X chapters" deals with the topics of transimpedance amplifier stability and wide dynamic range. https://lnkd.in/dsMiUmKU

also the LTC6244 datasheet. Some good apps circuit are buried in there: https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/6244fb.pdf

Sadly, I have mislaid my copy of 'Photodiode Amplifiers' by Jerald Graeme. After a fruitless search in every likely corner of the house and the office, I gave up and have ordered another copy! I will have to check out the book by Eduard Sackinger; any comments about it on here will be read with interest . . .

As a Razavi fan, I would add "Design of integrated circuits for optical communications". ;-) But I also love the Säckinger book and how detailed it is. Really helps you getting started from scratch.

Jerald Graeme’s book is the Bible of TIAs in my opinion.

Yes 👏 I have Jerald Graemes’ book. It is a great one to add to your collection.

I have read Philip Hobbs and Jerald Gerame, however I found Jerald Gerame better in terms of ease of understanding for beginners
