Currently listening to Miles Davis’ “Kind of Blue,” which was featured in our last module of the “Experienced Leadership Program”. I just completed this one year program with an in person workshop in Frankfurt and it again helped tremendously to change perspectives and think out of the box. I’m not really a huge jazz fan, but Miles Davis record is a great example of how masters of their craft can improvise and create something exceptional. This masterpiece was recorded just within two days back in 1959. It is still one of the most successful records of its genre and is an outcome of great musicians who came together following a rough framework provided by Miles Davis. This concept perfectly resonates with Bayer’s new operating model, #DynamicSharedOwnership, which enables scientists from different functions to co-create innovative solutions for our patients. A big THANK YOU to our trainers, Alexander Grimshaw and Peter Spannagl for all their valuable insights and to all the #TeamBayer colleagues for the great interactive discussions on leading in a VUCA world. I‘m now in the groove to continue this learning journey with my esteemed colleagues.
Love Miles Davis…Hope you’re well, Sascha !
