While new HIV infections declined by 3.6% globally from 2020-2021, data from the 2022 Global AIDS Monitoring Report released by Malaysia’s Ministry of Health showed that the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted community-based HIV screening and prevention activities. Let’s help reduce stigmas relating to HIV - Antiretroviral treatment, or ART works by reducing the amount of the virus in the blood to undetectable levels. This means the levels of HIV are so low that the virus cannot be passed on. This is called having an undetectable viral load or being undetectable. Undetectable = Untransmissable.

It’s World AIDS Day! This day is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic. Globally, 1.3 million people became newly infected with HIV in 2022. 9.2 million people living with HIV do not have access to antiretroviral treatment, including 660,000 children!
