#Didyouknow that many of our interns continue their career with New Pig and become full-time employees? We are thrilled to introduce you to Justin, who started his New Pig journey as an intern. Q: Where did you go to school? A: Penn State Altoona Q: Why did you decide to intern with New Pig? A: I had heard nothing but good things about New Pig. I knew several people that had worked here already, and I knew if I got the opportunity, I would try my best to take full advantage of it. Q: What about New Pig made you want to become a full-time employee? A: The culture and people were everything I was looking for in a full-time job. Also, I was doing real and meaningful work the first week I got here. A lot of times people think in internships you will be doing the boring work others do not want, that was far from the case here and that really stuck out to me. Overall, everyone was very welcoming and supportive! Q: What is your favorite part of your job? A: I could go on for days about my favorite part of my job, but I will keep it short. One is, no day is the same and I really enjoy that. Two, I have gotten to meet so many great people throughout my time here so far. Lastly, the people I work with are so great, and it makes it very enjoyable coming to work every day. Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time? A: I love to hang out with family and friends, play sports and sell & collect vintage clothing.

Meet Lillie Davidson '25, who’s spending her summer as a news intern at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram! Read more about Lillie’s internship journey below!👇 1. What's a typical day like for you as a news intern? I get to the office around 8:45 in the morning, and we have a newsroom meeting first thing to get us all in the right headspace for the day. We give each other shoutouts for good work we’ve seen from the last day. Then, I get started on assignments! Sometimes this looks like going to press conferences or different places around the metroplex, sometimes it’s emails and phone calls, but it’s never ever boring! Usually, on my lunch break, I like to play the New York Times’ crossword. I can finish a Monday puzzle in five minutes! 2. What do you enjoy most about your internship at the Star-Telegram? I love getting to work with so many kind and inspiring people who are so willing to teach me everything they know and answer all my questions. I also love getting to see things and go places that most people don’t get to. Last week I got a sneak peek at the MLB All-Star Village before it opened to the public! Plus, I enjoy seeing my name in the newspaper! 3. Do you have any advice for other students considering an internship in this field? Be brave! Ask big questions and look for stories in places you wouldn’t think to find them. Go everywhere with the intention to listen and watch, and remember that most people just want an opportunity to be heard. Most importantly, have fun. This field is special and can bring you a lot of joy if you let it. #LeadOnTCU

Meet Trey, our Strategy & Planning Intern. He jumped straight into work with us this summer and has been learning so much working with our incredible planning team. Today, we’re wishing him a happy #NationalInternDay! Get to know this VCU Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture senior below. Q: What is your favorite part of your role? A: I love the opportunity to learn new things. Being an intern is awesome because you’re able to get your hands dirty, observe the pros, and ask the stupid questions that are inevitable when entering the industry. Elevation is such a welcoming place and I couldn’t ask for a better crew to spend my summer with. Q: What’s something interesting about you that’s not on your resume? A: I am the proud winner of the 2011 Morrisville Elementary School Talent show, being one of only three second graders to ever win it at the time. I may have only been eight, but my dance moves were a solid 10. Q: If you could use one word to describe your career journey, what would it be? A: Dawning

🚀 CO OP Journey at The Shepherd Color Company👨🔬 I’m thrilled to share some highlights from my recent CO OP at The Shepherd Color Company, where I had the incredible opportunity to work on updating critical data and identifying discrepancies, addressing quality issues by recommending technical adjustments that enhanced performance, as well as take initiative that optimized operational efficiency. These projects not only improved operations but also provided me with invaluable lessons in problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective project management. My journey not only helped my technical skills, but also helped me grow professionally and personally in ways I hadn't anticipated. One of the most rewarding aspects of this internship was when the work I did actively helped on the plant floor, which gave me a real sense of accomplishment and reinforced my passion for Engineering. I am incredibly grateful to Michael Coleman, Drew Mesker and James Francis for their guidance and support throughout this journey. I am excited to apply what I've learned to get a head start for my next rotation at The Shepherd Color Company in August! Here are some key takeaways from my internship: - Hands-On Experience: I had the chance to dive deep into DYNAMIX productions, which enhanced my practical skills in data management, long term observation of equipment, etc., - Professional Development: Engaging in team meetings and vendor interactions helped me develop my soft skills. - Networking: Building relationships with professionals in the industry, including vendors, different teams, contractors, etc., provided me with valuable insights and mentorship that I will carry forward in my career. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone at The Shepherd Color Company who made this internship an unforgettable and enriching experience. Your support and encouragement have been instrumental in my growth, and I look forward to staying connected with such an amazing network of professionals. Thank you for this incredible opportunity! #COOP #ProfessionalGrowth #CareerDevelopment #LearningJourney #IndustryInsights
