It was great to be part of an inspiring event yesterday in partnership with Business Sydney and Study NSW to continue to promote the benefits of hiring International Students. As Paul Nicolaou said "International students are a vital part of the fabric of our economy and our wonderful city" and I couldn't agree more. During the event we heard from the NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Education and Early Learning Prue Car who spoke very passionately about the importance of International Students to NSW. I was also fortunate to host a panel discussion with Kate Pounder - Consultant and former CEO of the Tech Council of Australia and Kristy Larkin - Head of Talent at the Endeavour Group. During the panel discussion we covered topics such as key labour market trends, diversity and inclusion and the recent federal government policy changes for international students. I left the event truly inspired with plenty of business cards and various coffee meetings to add to the diary. Since SEEK's employment initiative for international students has gone live we have created over 120,000 job applications with over 250 employers participating in the initiative.
