Today kicks off Mental Health Awareness Month 🩵 A moment to take a beat and check in with ourselves and how we’re prioritizing our mental health, and as an employer, building cultures that allow our teams to thrive. A practice that has become a core part of how I lead is the power of a simple check in by asking employees: “How are you doing? No really, how are you doing?”. It’s easy to prioritize the work – planning, projects, meetings, etc. It takes time and thoughtfulness to prioritize checking in with people to make sure they are thriving - and to make sure you leave space to check in with yourself. I’m proud to work for Calm where my mission each day is to help our company, employees, and employer customers build strategies to support mental health at work. When we build healthy teams, we build healthy companies. What are you doing this Mental Health Awareness Month to care for yourself, your teams, and the people around you? If you need somewhere to start, we've got you: https://lnkd.in/gsegyMEU #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth

2mo"how are you doing" - It's such a simple question that it we often go into autopilot mode when someone asks it. It says a lot about you as a leader that you pause to make sure your team really hears the question so that they can fully answer.
