Despite all AI breakthroughs, one thing won’t change: The most effective creativity across art, culture, and marketing will be the creativity that moves us. This soulfulness is hard to describe but you know it when you feel it, and it will continue to come from our humanity. AI should automate the mundane to unlock more of this humanity.

One of the best actions to take on this is using tools like ChatGPT to really refine your brand voice. To do this, talk with ChatGPT specifically about what you want your users to feel when they read your content - not what your content needs to include at this point. Focus on the feeling and the outcomes you want them to take. How do you want them to feel about your offering? How do you want them to feel about your organization? Once you have created a narrative of your brand voice, as GPT to condense everything to 500 characters by focusing on creating one to two sentences in summation and 4-8 of the highest priority adjectives to describe your brand voice. Then, head over to Canva. You have to have a paid subscription to Canva, but if you build materials, it is worth the cost by heads and shoulders. In Canva (paid) go to Brand Kits and create a brand kit. Here you identify the fonts and colors for Canva to use and upload your logo and any graphics and photos that you will regularly use. But somewhere in the middle, you will find a place to create your brand voice. Paste in what you created with GPT. Using Canva's Magic Write from that point on, your communications will be on-brand for your goals. Feel free to connect.

Yes it’s funny to see AI so hyped and misunderstood. Yes it is insanely powerful: No, it doesn’t replace human beings. It just makes them more powerful.

I agree. While AI can enhance creativity, the emotional impact of art, culture, and marketing comes from the human experience, a depth AI cannot replicate. Embracing AI to handle repetitive tasks allows us to focus on infusing our creations with the authenticity and depth only humans can provide. Ultimately, a collaboration between human ingenuity and AI can lead to more meaningful creativity.

As a musician, I get to see this transfer of genius divine / energy / emotion / humanity every time I play in true freedom and improvise live for other human beings. My bands see the smiles, the urge to move and dance, the light in their eyes… its real, it’s measurable, It’s the “eternity” we all carry that no AI will ever be able to genuinely access. Imago Dei is real.

Hmm... "hard to describe but you know it when you feel it" hard to argue with an indefinite feel-good statement like that.

Replace “AI” with any number of tools and you can say the same. “(Insert tool here) should automate the mundane to us unlock more of this humanity.” Let me get on with the work I like and enjoy. Take the rest into a tool.

Can you say more about "should?" Do you mean shall/will or should as in we should be kind and considerate to others? Different meanings. If the latter, what are the three biggest threats that AI poses to creativity? I'm often astonished by just how much the creative process *requires* struggling/grappling/wrestling with the mundane, not automating it. Would value your POV on this. Thank you!
