Right from the Investopedia website… “With more than 100,000 independent financial advisors in the U.S., the Investopedia 100 spotlights the country’s most engaged, influential, and educational advisors.” So here’s the questions to Investopedia…did you review all 100,000 advisors? If not, why can you make this ridiculous claim? If you did, then what was the criteria applied to each advisor reviewed?

There’s almost 300k advisors. There’s more than 100k CFP®️professionals so yeah they certainly aren’t interviewing everyone 😂 I’ve never gotten a call lol not that I deserve the accolade hahaha

No doubt, Scott. Many of the "top advisor" lists are based on assets level, visibility on social, or a paid spot. It has zero to do with quality of advice.

The Investopedia Top 100 Financial Advisor list identifies literally about social media outreach and *not* actually about being a “Top” financial advisor… hmm…

I believe that numbers closer to 400,000 actually. And non securities Financial Professionals around 600k.
