Netflix continuing to cement it's place in the experiential entertainment industry. I wonder what will be the turnover timeline in terms of bringing in new experiences to the Netflix Houses? My bet is there will be some spaces that are semi-permanent/permanent and others for more pop-up type promotion of a new movie or show. The Houses can also be used for local premieres, viewing parties, talent signings and exclusive merch drops. A lot of potential here. Either way, they'll definitely have one thing over Universal and Disney....no absurd parking fees! https://lnkd.in/gURmUEKv

In one of my recent posts on the Sony acquisition of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain... I expressed surprise that major streamers like Disney, Netflix, or Amazon Prime didn’t make a play for it. The potential for exclusive content showcases and promotional experiences seemed like a perfect fit for these media giants. However, I just learned that Netflix is taking an innovative approach by building their own locations called #NetflixHouse. Set to open in 2025, with the first one in the Galleria Dallas, these venues will offer immersive experiences based on popular shows like Stranger Things and Bridgerton. This move is pretty fascinating! By creating dedicated spaces, Netflix can control the entire customer journey from streaming to real-world interactions. Imagine watching your favorite Netflix series and then stepping into a world where you can experience it firsthand. This strategy could be a great first-step in revolutionizing content consumption and setting a new trend in the industry. Netflix House could be the game-changer theaters need, especially post-pandemic. It’s a bold step towards enhancing customer experience and could inspire other streaming giants to rethink their strategies. What do you think about Netflix House? Will it redefine how we experience entertainment? https://lnkd.in/gJnMbda5

Netflix’s Bold Move. Netflix is taking innovation to the next level by turning former department stores into massive entertainment centers. Imagine hanging out with the Demogorgon from Stranger Things where you once shopped for jeans. Starting with 100,000+ square-foot venues at King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania and Galleria Dallas in Texas, Netflix is diving into live experiences. These “Netflix Houses” will be packed with food, drinks, exclusive merch, and more. It's not just about direct revenue—it's about creating buzz and deepening fan engagement. Innovation isn’t just a buzzword. It’s about seeing opportunities where others see empty space. What bold move can you make today that will define your next performance horizon? #Leadership #Innovation #Netflix #LiveExperiences #RetailInnovation #NPH https://lnkd.in/g9UP2CQe

📺 Entertainment is airborne 📺 ➡ 1895: The Lumière brothers showed the first moving picture to a paying audience in France. ⏭ 1927: The first TV set was demonstrated to an audience in San Francisco, U.S. ⏩ ⏩ 1996: The first DVD players went on sale in Japan ⏩ ⏩ ⏩ 2016: Netflix launch an offline feature, enabling the consumption of Netflix content on-the-go. 🔽 Content is accessible wherever you are. Stories cross mediums from games to films to immersive experiences. #Netflix is planning to open two #NetflixHouses, an IRL location for #brandexperiences. While it’s still unknown where the two brick and mortars will be or when they’ll open, these Disney store-esque locations are set to include #retail, #dining, and #entertainment all in one spot. The streaming giant knows #fans are obsessed with its #movies and #TVshows and often build #communities around popular streams, and soon they’ll have a unified place to #immerse themselves in the #content they love. Research shows #GenZ and #Millennials are interested in more branded experiences like this one—especially ones that bring content from behind their screens to real life. #contentstrategy #popculture #activations

Are "Netflix Houses" & "Prime Premiere" by Amazon the stepping stones to Netflix and Amazon owning their own cinema theatres? In India, Cinema theatres have an average occupancy 10-15% on weekdays and around 40% on weekends. The main reason - The Lack of Good Content. Don't think both Netflix and Amazon will face that problem. Add to it Jio & Disney Hotstar. The parent company of Jio already owns more than 60% of the Indian Retail space & they too have Jio Studios. It is only matter of time when the big three from the OTT world reach out to the real world mall developer/ owners asking for space!! https://lnkd.in/dTJa6h_v #netflix #amazonprime #retailmarketing #innovativemarketing #retailinnovation #indiaretail

Netflix is opening massive entertainment venues in two cities that it says will allow fans to immerse themselves in the worlds of their favorite shows. The “experiential” complexes, called Netflix Houses, will include elaborate events, themed gift shops and restaurants. In a repurposing of empty retail space, the houses will occupy former department store locations at Galleria Dallas and King of Prussia Mall, Inc. (near Philadelphia). Both will span more than 100,000 square feet and are set to open in 2025, according to the streaming giant. For Netflix, it’s just the latest move in a series of efforts to broaden its profile and income beyond standard streaming— even though the bulk of its profits have come from its core business. These new initiatives come at a time profits in the streaming industry are getting squeezed. Now, “Netflix House represents the next generation of our distinctive offerings,” said Netflix Chief Marketing Officer Marian Lee in a statement. “The venues will bring our beloved stories to life in new ever-changing, and unexpected ways.” #netflix #streaming #media #experiential #tech https://lnkd.in/gfBg3eeS

Who's going to the new Netflix cinema experience? Dubbed "Netflix House," an experiential entertainment venue that will bring some of our most beloved titles to life will open two locations — one slated for King of Prussia Mall outside of Philadelphia, and one at Galleria Dallas in Texas. Building on previous Netflix live experiences for Bridgerton, Money Heist, Stranger Things, Squid Game, and Netflix Bites, Netflix House will go one step further and create an immersive venue to enjoy your favorite Netflix stories and characters beyond the screen year-round. Per Total Retail: This new venture plays right into the growing trend of experiential retail that younger generations of shoppers are looking for, citing a 2023 study from MG2 Design Advisory, which found that while Gen Z is digital first — Gen Z viewers spend three times as much time streaming vs watching cable — and they also expect brands to blend worlds and offer experiences in-person. While everyone's talking about the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity this week, I have to give a shout-out to Netflix for its wild new concept: Netflix House! 🙌 In 2025, Netflix will open massive entertainment, dining, and shopping complexes that bring beloved shows to life. As someone who's led brand experience agencies and is fascinated by the intersection of technology and entertainment, I'm pumped to see Netflix doubling down on the power of in-person experiences. While digital marketing is undeniably crucial, there's just no replacing that magic of bringing people together IRL, even in our digital age. It creates a lasting impression and a deep connection that cannot be replicated. Netflix House 🏠 is set to be a game-changer, letting fans immerse themselves in the worlds of their favourite characters through themed food, merch, and interactive exhibits. I'm excited to see how this shapes up and inspires other companies to go big with their real-world initiatives. Check out the Variety article for all the deets! Kudos to Netflix for having a go. Between them and Airbnb's iconic rentals, they're really changing the game. Love your work! #netflix #experientialmarketing #marketingtrends #retailinnovation #techtrends #entertainmentindustry #media
