We also have a bank that will provide the bank guarantee (BG) financing the project 100% so Shell doesn’t have to use his money. This is serving the fossil industry as a social license to continue its life threatening existence. And that’s just one example of the widespread distraction and misleading narratives provided by the fossil fuel industry and its interests. The fossile industry has to be called out and their real faces shown to the public. For more than 50 years the fossil fuel industry has used strategies known from the tobacco and gun industry: Denial, doubt, deflection, distraction, and delay. Just so that they can keep profitting from destroying human and our co-species life conditions. Shell should be rated as the worst criminals. Oil and gas have to be kept in the ground from now on. No more BS about becoming "a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050"

Project Milestone • Achievement: SapuraOMV Upstream Sdn Bhd, the operator of the Jerun gas field, has announced the achievement of first gas. • Partnership: Shell plc holds a 30% equity stake through its subsidiary, Sarawak Shell Berhad. 2. Location • Geographical Position: The Jerun field is situated approximately 160 km northwest of Bintulu and 190 km northwest of Miri in Sarawak, Malaysia. 3. Infrastructure • Development Details: The project includes an integrated central processing platform. • Pipeline: Gas is exported through a new 80-km pipeline to the E11RB production hub for delivery to customers in Bintulu, including Malaysia LNG. 4. Production Capacity • Gas Production: The Jerun platform is designed to produce up to 550 million cubic feet of gas per day. • Condensate Production: It will also produce 15,000 barrels of condensate per day during peak production. 5. Kepco to jointly develop power transmission network in Indonesia Korea Electric Power Corporation (Kepco) will participate in a large-scale electric power transmission network project in Indonesia through multiple preliminary agreements announced Monday.     The state-run electricity supplier signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Indonesian power supplier PLN and Siemens Energy to jointly develop a high voltage direct current system to connect Java and Sumatra.   Local media outlets estimated the deal to be 41 trillion won ($30 billion), but a Kepco spokesperson said that the estimate was inflated and inaccurate without further elaborating.  Indonesia has the goal of achieving net zero in carbon emission by 2060. https://lnkd.in/eHd4U-ND

Conrad Asia Energy is making waves in the Southeast Asian Oil and Gas industry with a major step forward for the Mako field in the West Natuna Sea. 🚀 The company has signed a critical Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) with Indonesia's PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), moving closer to the final investment decision (FID) for the project by Q4 2024. This agreement covers 29.5% of Mako’s Gas volumes for the domestic market, while talks with Singapore’s Sembcorp Gas for the remaining 70.5% are ongoing. 🌊🔋 Mako, the largest undeveloped Gas field in the region, is set to start production in 2026, bringing 376 billion cubic feet of Gas to market.
