Celebrate! 🎉 Celebrate! 🎉 Celebrate! 🎉 This week we celebrate our freedom. And it is also a good reminder for us to celebrate our small businesses. Celebrating can be easy to forget, but it is so important. Even the smallest of things. It might be showing up when you really don't want to. It could be a new customer that found you. Or maybe it is that you had coffee with a friend. Celebrating our successes, reminds us how far we've come. Try writing down your celebrations. You can write them in a notebook. Or you can put them on pieces of paper and keep them in a jar. Whatever works for you. Periodically go back and read them. They are a great reminder of how far you've come. I know there are days running my business that I feel like I'm treading water and getting nowhere. But, when I look at my celebrations...I'm always amazed at what I've accomplished. So celebrate! Celebrate you. Celebrate your business. Celebrate everything you've accomplished! Congratulations...you're doing amazing! #supportingsmallbusinessowners #smallbusiness #marketingcoach #threeboycreative

Innovative attorney helping entrepreneurs to change the world by protecting and growing their business value by providing them with custom legal and compliance advice as unique as they are.
Last month I was in Milwaukee, attending a Galentine’s Day event hosted by RAYNE IX—and it was yet another reminder of how much I love both being a woman small business owner, and how much I love supporting other women small business owners. The event didn’t feel like a networking event at all — it felt like a huge get-together with 70 women who just GET you. (In fact, you know it’s a good event when you only take one photo—that’s me and my friend and fellow small business owner Melissa Ripp with Peapod Marketing & PR Consulting) It got me thinking that this is one of my favorite things about being a woman small business owner—all the love. The support. The advice. The conversations. The collaborations. It's an amazing thing—when you surround yourself with the right people, great things happen: ✔️ You cultivate a built-in support system where you can turn for advice and those “Am I thinking about this in the right way?” moments of doubt. ✔️ People start saying really nice things about you when you’re not in the room. This goes both ways—not only have I talked up and referred countless women in my network, I’ve had the same done for me. ✔️ You start winning—and crushing your goals—together. Women small business owners are some of the biggest cheerleaders I know, and we love to see each other win. Part of Women's History Month is also present-day history: seeing the progress women small business owners have made in spite of a whole lot of challenges. To all the women small business owners in my orbit—our clients, the consultants I work with to keep our business at Athena humming, my incredible network, and those who have paved the paths for us to walk on—thank you. I hope you always know how awesome you are.

This week's blog post topic: Why I'm grateful for SHE Leads Group. In the 10+ years since I went full-time with my company Boomers Social Media Tutor, I've been a member of many business networking groups. Some have been associated with a chamber of commerce, and most have have been independent groups, some with multiple chapters. Each group has been meaningful to me in some way. But it wasn't until I joined SHE Leads Group nearly a year ago, that I felt like I’ve come home to the kind of group I’ve always wanted to be part of. Along with its distinctive origin story, here are some key attributes that, in my opinion, differentiate it from other groups I've been part of: ❤️ Emphasis on education ❤️ Membership levels to meet the needs of the members. ❤️ Mix of in-person and virtual meetings ❤️ Emphasis on giving to the community In addition, the group truly embodies all the qualities that are important to me in a business networking group: ✅ Friendliness – especially to first-time guests ✅ Support – the degree to which members care about each other ✅ High energy level ✅ Well-run meeting that stay on schedule ✅ Follow-up, both by leaders and members Since my clients are all over the country, I opted to join the virtual Coast-to-Coast B2B Chapter. Being part of this chapter has brought me in contact with women from several states. The screenshot below was taken at our meeting yesterday and includes most of our members, as well as a potential member. From left to right: Top row: Me, Lori Dubois, 🦋Liz Wendling 2nd row: Beth Boen, Debbie Stratton, Suzanne Mitchell, MAS 3rd row: Mary Gaul, Susan Mann, Heather Pacaro 4th row: Mary Wuest, Bethany Good (guest) Members not pictured: Dawnie (Phelps) McNamee, Suzanna Martinez Thanks to Beth Boen, Founder of SHE Leads Group for creating this amazing organization in 2016, for the wonderful members of my chapter and for everyone I've met through SHE Leads Group. #womeninbusiness #womenbusinessowners #womenempoweringwomen #womenentrepreneurs #businessnetworking

When we say that The Fairway isn't networking, it's net*worth*ing, THIS is what we mean... Chloe Jackman's newest Chloe Jackman Photography client Chime came directly from our SF Fairway Dinner where we were honored to have Chime’s Chief People Officer Sarah Collins Wagener. You know how men do business on the golf course? They give each other jobs. They invest in one another. They exchange human, social and financial capital. Well, it's our turn. Our Fairway. Our rules. Our money. The power and magic of the intersectional, inclusive, intentional mix of women in the room at our dinners (22 dinners and 2 events for 700 women and counting) is why I do this work. It's my superpower. The wealth-building opportunities that come from the relationships built and the business deals made ($8.5 Million and counting) is why what we're doing isn't just proof of concept, it's proof of the power of women. It's *our* superpower. And we're just getting started. You in? #HypeWomen #TheFairway #money #wealth #women

🌐 The Power of COMMUNITY in Business 🌐 A few years back, I was introduced to a powerful concept: "Your business isn't just about selling products or services; it's about building communities." Why is community building CRUCIAL? 1. Loyalty: When customers feel they belong, they stick around. 2. Feedback Loop: An engaged community offers invaluable insights. 3. Organic Growth: Loyal community members become brand ambassadors. So, how do we foster such a community? ✨ Genuine Engagement: This isn’t just responding to comments. It's starting meaningful conversations. ✨ Value: Offer more than products. Provide knowledge, support, and a sense of belonging. ✨ Celebrate Successes: Shine a spotlight on community members who achieve greatness. One of the most heartwarming experiences I've had was seeing a community member defend our brand during a misunderstanding. It wasn’t because of our product; it was the community we built around it. Community isn’t a buzzword. It’s the heart and soul of a thriving business. -------- How are you nurturing your community? Drop your strategies below! 🔽💡
