It has been a fantastic journey so far! When I decided to join #VentureInstitute at VC Lab, I knew it would demand much dedication. 7 Things I Learned from working in a CVC in Hong Kong (for 6 months) It has been six months since I joined qonvolv Ventures. As part of my Management Trainee program, I will be rotating to other departments and returning to the Ventures team after a year. The journey of the past six months has been packed with gems but frankly speaking, I don't think I had fully utilized my time and absorbed everything... I guess it's part of the journey to learn how to learn. Nevertheless, here are the 7 most memorable lessons from my first six months in qonvolv Ventures (so I can still remember them a year later): 1. Always be punctual. Always. 2. Trust is the foundation of everything. 3. The highest ROI investment is investing in yourself. 4. While storytelling is important, experience is even more persuasive. 5. Don't pretend you understand something when you don't, just ask. 6. There are seldom 'competitors' among VCs, they would rather be friends. 7. Keep a childlike curiosity, practice active listening and return with great questions. P.S. can't talk about key takeaways without mentioning the Ventures Boys.
