Problem:  An E&P company faced severe facility fouling and plugging when processing the production and fluids flowing from newly fracked wells. Operational disruptions such as open floats and valves along with emulsion pads lead to water carryover into the condensate. Multiple competitor chemical programs proved relatively ineffective, causing significant trucking costs, downtime, and lost production. Solution: That’s where we stepped in. We collected paraffin samples and developed a wax solvent/dispersant package which provided a significant improvement in overall performance compared to previous chemistries used. Result: The results were immediate, within a couple of hours, the Pad location that was experiencing these problems was quickly cleaned up and running normally.
