Seeing a lot of things on here, regarding people making use of an 'open to work banner' 💭 Never even considered this to be a negative.. in fact it gives recruiters (myself included) the joy of being able to get in touch with a call focussed on what it is you're exactly looking for! Never feel embarrassed to utilise/use an important tool or feature on a site like this. Here's how to remove the dreaded 'open to work' setting if you're not OTW. LinkedIn is a great site, but sometimes I see this setting on when people tell me they don't want to move. A lot of people might not even know it's set to OTW and wonder why they get 425 daily messages/calls from recruiters. You can edit or remove the #OpenToWork feature from your LinkedIn profile at any time: Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage. Click View profile. Click the Edit icon from the Open to Work box (at the top of your profile). Follow the prompts to edit the information you previously provided. Click Save.

Dear LinkedIn, Please make the following improvements to your job search functionality. - add option to exclude on-site and/or hybrid jobs that are nowhere close to the user's physical location - for roles that the user has chosen to hide, continue to exclude the same exact roles from appearing in search again even if it's reposted Implementing the above revisions should help reduce clutter/headaches for all the #opentowork job seekers. The “open to work” banner debate is back in my LinkedIn feed again. If you list yourself as “open to work” on LinkedIn you have an option for only recruiters (no banner) or all users (banner). Be aware that the “Only Recruiters” option is for the recruiters that pay money for the FULL LinkedIn Recruiter license. If a small business is paying for a LITE license they will not know you are “open to work” without the banner. #recruitment #opentowork
