✨ Productivity hack ✨ 35 seconds is more than you think! While recently reviewing a customer project where they were making 2500 parts a month year around. We noticed every part had lot of chamfering and beveling features that for years had been done by a GP carbide chamfer mill. Previously the chamfer mill was also used to spot drill on the part so it made sense. However, they had removed the spot drill operation months earlier due to most high performance drills not requiring a spot in most cases. Still searching for more cycle time reductions we looked at the chamfer mill once more. Companies like Everede Tool Co. and Nine9 Cutting Tools make indexable chamfer mills so we plugged in the tool. Too the customers delight, we saved 35 seconds a part. Not much you say?
