Jonathan Landes, the Subsea President at #TechnipFMC, expressed the company's excitement: "We have a longstanding relationship with #BP, underpinned by close collaboration. This partnership, combined with our robust installation and execution capabilities, enables us to meet BP’s schedule to extend the production in the Mad Dog field." BP initiated production from #Argos in April 2023, marking its fifth production development in the Gulf of Mexico, operating in water depths of 1400 meters. Argos is a pivotal component of BP's Mad Dog Phase Two project, aiming to extend the life of the supergiant deep-water field discovered back in 1998. With five platforms in operation, including Atlantis, Mad Dog, Na Kika, Thunder Horse, and now Argos, BP continues to make significant strides in the US Gulf of Mexico. Petrobras has signed contracts for the P-84 and P-85 FPSO platforms with Seatrium O&G Americas Limited. With these contracts, Brazil's oil industry is set for remarkable growth and sustainability. The platforms will be constructed in Brazil, China, and Singapore, with local content targets of 20% for P-84 and 25% for P-85. Each FPSO will produce 225,000 barrels of oil and 10 million cubic meters of gas per day. Currently, Brazil produces 4 million barrels of oil per day. According to Petrobras’s strategic plan (2024-2028), the country could reach 8.5 million barrels per day. Brazil is currently the ninth largest oil producer. With existing investments, it aims to become the fourth largest, significantly enhancing Brazil's global energy presence. "#SubseaIntegrationAlliance, comprising #OneSubsea and #Subsea7, has won a long-term strategic agreement with Norway’s state-owned energy giant #Equinor, paving the way for collaboration to begin immediately on early, joint concept studies for two giant oil projects." These are frontier projects: 1. Wisting: located over 300 km north of Hammerfest in the Barents Sea (Arctic). Final Investment Decision (#FID) was postponed in Q4 2022 due to cost estimate increases, amongst other factors. 2. Bay du Nord: located offshore Newfoundland & Labrador (off Canada's east coast) in the Flemish Pass basin, about 500 km northeast of St John's. The project was postponed in May 2023 due to cost pressure. "Thanks to the deal signed by #Equinor and #SubseaIntegrationAlliance in Stavanger work on the maturation of subsea scope will be able to start immediately at the #Wisting field offshore Norway and the #BayDuNord project located off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. FMC Technologies do Brasil, a subsidiary of TechnipFMC, has secured the #HISEPMero3 project contract with Petrobras! This contract marks a pivotal moment in the industry. FMC Technologies do Brasil will lead the integrated Engineering, Acquisition, Construction, and Installation (iEPCI™) contract, along with developing and testing Petrobras' patented HISEP® technology. HISEP® is a game-changer, developed at Petrobras' Research Center to enhance fields with high Gas-Oil Ratio and CO² content. The innovation allows for separating associated gas on the ocean floor, reducing surface processing, and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. The Mero 3 project in the Brazilian pre-salt region will pioneer the application of HISEP® technology, showcasing its potential to increase production efficiency. The HISEP® submarine separation pilot unit will be interconnected to the FPSO Marechal Duque de Caxias, setting the stage for technological and commercial maturity. Carlos Travassos, Petrobras' Director of Engineering, Technology, and Innovation, emphasizes the significance of this contract. Intercon is proud to announce our recent contract award of two shipsets of Model 50C ATB Couplers from Bollinger Shipyards. The ATBs, operated by Edison Chouest Offshore, will provide feedering of wind turbine components to Maersk Supply Service's innovative new WTIV. Initially deployed to support the construction of Equinor's Empire Wind 1 project, this combination of vessels, utilizing both mature and new technologies, will address many of the obstacles facing fixed wind deployment throughout the world: - The WTIV remains permanently on station throughout the installation phase and leverages Feedering ATBs to supply wind turbine components - Ports only need to be able to support the Feedering ATBs, not the entire WTIV, greatly increasing the number of potential marshalling ports available for use - Feedering ATBs do not face the same weather or speed restrictions as towed-barge feedering solutions - The WTIV leverages a unique barge locking system that works in conjunction with the ATBs lightering capability to allow safe cargo transfer without the need for complex vessel motion compensation platforms #FeederingistheFuture #ATB #Intercon
