Their jack-up vessel, Innovation, has been pivotal, installing over 1000 monopiles. With the acquisition of A2SEA A/S in 2017, DEME Offshore strengthened its position in the WTG installation market, becoming a leader in recent years. 🌟 ZITON A/S has been a consistent leader in the O&M jack-up intervention market, claiming the top spot for seven of the last eight years. 🌟 Cadeler and Fred. Olsen Windcarrier have also been significant players, with Cadeler topping the charts four times across foundation and turbine installation. Until 2023 with their two jack-ups Wind Orca and Wind Osprey. Their merger with Seajacks last year expanded their fleet with two further jack-ups. Fred. Olsen Windcarrier has primarily focused on WTG installation, securing the crown twice and coming in a close second last year. 🌟 Heerema Marine Contractors has increased their focus on offshore wind, leading in foundation installations last year. 🌟 Van Oord has consistently performed well, claiming second places in both foundation and WTG scopes, though they have yet to take the top spot. Was a pleasure to represent Equinor again and share a little more about who we are and what we seek to achieve, at the recent Informa Offshore Wind Conference - back in my home city of Melbourne! The past 12 months for the offshore wind industry (both globally and locally) has seen many challenges with supply chain constraints, inflationary pressures, social licence, and complex routes to market. Also, how dynamic it has been with bid competition, partnerships and mergers, withdrawals and swaps. But all-in-all, just how far it’s come in a positive sense. Looking forward, it is clear that Australia is ripe for the picking with offshore wind as a complement to other renewables and storage technologies. Australia has the greatest number of players vying for seabed acreage than anywhere in Asia Pacific - a chance to grow a mega future industry that can deliver a bright energy and economic future for generations. Although there is still a long way to go and a lot to get done (well), building on the offshore experience of companies like Equinor and working with governments, industry, business and the community - we can achieve these shared goals, together. A significant milestone for Vestas in the UK offshore wind market. 2. **Cadeler Takes the Lead in Jack-Up Fleet:** The merger between Eneti/Seajacks and Cadeler is complete, consolidating the fleets under the name "Cadeler." With 10 jack-up vessels, Cadeler now claims the title of the largest jack-up fleet in offshore wind, including 6 newbuild vessels set to elevate their capabilities. 3. **Ørsted Greenlights "Hornsea 3" Project:** Ørsted makes a final investment decision on the iconic "Hornsea 3" project. Siemens Gamesa secures a crucial role by providing the SG-14.0-236 for the venture. JERA Nex is tapping into the Australian market by collaborating with Alinta Energy for the Spinifex project. The Japanese company, JERA Nex, has been steadily expanding its impressive offshore wind portfolio, actively developing projects and undergoing several acquisitions. Part of JERA Nex's expanding portfolio is the experienced European developer Parkwind, which brings several European projects to its portfolio, most recently including the controversial Norwegian project “Sørlig Nordsjø II”. Australia is viewed as the next significant market, with several projects edging closer to the goal of establishing offshore wind farms along its coast. Developers are eagerly eyeing this market. It's evident that JERA Nex is positioning itself in Australia, recognizing it as one of the new markets to invest in. The area they are bidding on is the “Southern Ocean”, which is currently open for bidding, marking the third round for offshore wind projects in Australia. France-headquartered Technip Energies and Dutch-based SBM Offshore have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the creation of a floating offshore wind joint venture, EkWiL. EkWiL will be a floating wind offshore wind pure play, capable of proposing a wide range of solutions to clients, the companies said. The joint venture will combine the people expertise, engineering and delivery capabilities and complementary technologies of Technip Energies and SBM Offshore to create integrated floating solutions for the floating offshore wind market. EkWiL will operate as a fully integrated team and capacity to develop Technip Energies' semi-submersible floating offshore wind foundation solution (INO15 by T.EN) and the Float4Wind tension leg platform, covering a large spectrum of the floating wind market and bringing them to commercial deployment, according to the partners. With a capacity of 15 megawatts, Technip Energies' INO15 technology is a three-column semi-submersible floater that is well suited for fabrication in large series, according to the company.
