I recently found solution for a problem that I have faced in all my past projects and with lack of better options, sort of got adjusted to live with it. The problem statement was: "How can I map the logs from entity classes used within tests to their respective test names for better traceability and debugging?" Below image shows the problem and how it looks like after the problem is resolved. As you can see, this problem becomes specially relevant when we run our tests in Parallel. If you have faced this issue too, here I created a detailed video to explain how you can solve it by creating a small LoggingExtension class: https://lnkd.in/egRC_VST The Solution is pretty clean in the sense that you do not have to touch any existing classes or test classes to get this feature enabled and working. The code for this video is accessible on GitHub here: https://lnkd.in/d2qbTEws I love this feature and I hope you like it too :). Happy learning and wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a Happy New year 2024 :).

Crazy idea to share... In Rector 1.0 we've introduced 1 rule = 1 level approach to ease integration to any project, however old or complex. And you love it 😍 PHPStan has ~268 rules in its core, but only 10 levels to enable/disable them. This makes integration quite hard. We either add full level, or stay on lower one. Typically we try get level 6, but give up with level 5 for years. This got me thinking: What if we could do single PHPStan rule at a time 😇 Improving code one easy level a day! 🚀

On LeetCode, the daily challenges are worth doing, because in the Editorial tab of those challenges you can find detailed guidance towards the solution, so it's highly educational and encouraging.

Halfway into MLH Fellowship and this is what I’ve done so far! Week 1: Created a portfolio using flask to showcase myself Week 2: Deployed the site on a DigitalOcean VPS. Week 3: Learned some bash scripting to automate re-deployment on the VPS. Week 4: Added a database to store timeline posts. Also created a service for the site, increasing server fault tolerance. Week 5: Wrote unit tests, integration tests, and a script to automate the tests. Week 6: Containerized the site, the database, and NGINX to allow ease of deployment and rollbacks. Also configured the reverse proxy to redirect http requests to https.
